I have recently purchased a property in Brisbane Australia while living abroad (UAE) and settled the property today. This is the third time I have used the services of SMATS for my mortgage arrangements and as expected it was hassle free with great honest advice and they didn't steer me wrong once. In this age of COVID and border restrictions I didn't have the opportunity to meet any of the team face to face, and completing all those mortgage forms without face to face support can be daunting. Despite this, SMATS gave me cheat sheets to guide me on how to fill in all the paperwork and gave me check lists and reminder emails so I didn't miss anything. Because of this my settlement happened without incident. I wouldn't have known about the multiple identification checks with the Australian Embassy without their advance direction, and in the UAE these appointments can take up to 2 weeks to get. Add to this the slower than usual shipping time for original documents and you can eat into your settlement time very quickly if you make mistakes. Thanks for another smooth process SMATS. I will definitely be using your services again.
