★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Officers on site are friendly and helpful. However for a government organisation they are rather misleading with their operating hours. Please do not put that it closes at 6pm when you guys are going back at 5.30pm based on what the officer told me over the phone. They are very rigid and unwilling to go the extra mile and accuses us of not helping ourselves for those working office hours. They are unwilling to help you after 5pm. Dont bother explaining as they are unwilling to hear you out and just provide politically correct answers from the script.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good to know I'm not the only who experienced terrible service with SSO. In various different locations too. Delayed responses on top of that, always jumping between different officers, rude callers and rude front desk.
It's immensely infuriating considering I've only approached the office obviously for the help the government is providing, but having to deal with the incompetent staff itself is where the experience is dreadful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SSO officer does not follow the criteria. I had to submit submit all my documents with sensitive information to the security and then made to wait outside without knowing what was being done with our IDs, CPF statements, HDB statements, power supply bills, S&CC account, long term MC and bank account details by the front office. Is this proper procedure?
Officer talked for 1.5hrs and asked about medical and mental history before saying not qualified due to income. Went online and called the hotline and made a new enquiry and the CSO on the phone says that we are under the income ceiling and qualify for assistance.
I have never felt so embarrassed and discriminated and judged. It's no wonder the needy are reluctant to seek help. The officers lack empathy and make you feel like you have to beg and jump through hoops to get any form of assistance.
