This stretch of shop houses is like what you see in JB. There's limited parking. The yam rice does not have much yam taste and the soup is hot but not much herbal taste. The pork belly is soft and the intestine does not have smell. The duck is ok but lack of the fragrance. The chilli is nice and goes well with the food. The service is good and the aunty give us extra chilli and hot soup. Overall, is a cozy old coffee shop to have a simple lunch.

Great tasting braised duck with the herbal aroma and best paired with their black soya sauce rice. Soup is free to top up. Run by old uncles in the traditional style. Whole duck now slightly increased to $31 from $28 due to duck price increase but still affordable. Had 3/4 duck with 4 sets of rice for $40.

Old school duck rice. Order their โ€œorh pengโ€ (soy rice), or better yet, porridge, to go with your lor ark and innards. Donโ€™t leave your food unattended if youโ€™re sitting outside by the side: the crows will swoop in!

Old school TeoChew Duck - at very affordable price of $36. Bought the whole duck - super long queue. Stir fry with the sauce, sesame oil and voila - you have the prefect stewed duck!

An average plate of duck rice - meat was somewhat dry. If you happen to be nearby, probably worth trying. Otherwise, you can get an equally great tasting plate of duck rice from the likes of Yu Kee.

Superb, traditional tasting braised duck rice. Braising sauce is balanced, not too salty or gooey like the usual viscous rendition used by braised duck chains. The spicy-sour chilli sauce pairs well with the kway chap & braised duck. A gem in the North ???

You can taste the aroma of the spices in the duck and pork meat. Not to mentioned the spare parts and juicy beancurd (love it ?) Have been here a few times and will think of the stall when you are at Springleaf MRT

If you wonder how a not renovated place that only sells duck rice survive for 50 years in an area with non existent transportation, the answer will always be: food is great. Ordered half a duck, one portion of pork belly, liver, intestine, taukua, egg, three rice and porridge and it's only $36.90. duck is fantastic, meat is plenty. Rice is yam rice which is v fragrance. Porridge has thick braised sauce on it, which makes it v appetizing. Side dishes were well braised too. If you are on a budget, you can always order duck rice or noodle or porridge and it's as delicious and filling. With the new springleaf mrt opening right outside the place, be sure to visit. You will not be disappointed!
