★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite wanton mee place. Excellent spicy chilli that the noodles soak up.
Two pro-tips: (1) you can choose thicker "mee pok" noodles instead of the usual "mee kia", which results in the dish tasting quite different. Worth a try if you haven't tried before. (2) add them on Instagram at @soonkeewantonmee to check if they're open before heading down - that's where they announce atypical closures/rest days

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I give it 4 1/2 star cause of the portion.
For the noodle is definitely worth to try, 5/5 on noodle texture, it's very Q. The sauce with the chili is really fantastic 5/5 for this too, their wanton is pure meat type, so not so much of my falvour but still 4/5. The queue usually long but it's fastoving, have to be there early to avoid sold out of the dumpling soup.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Still as good as b4 after 4½ years away although the chilli gravy seems lesser.
Be prepared to Q for 20 mins. The shui jiao is fully loaded with meat & shrimp making it so satisfying. Only $3.50 for 5 pcs, real value for money

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ $4 wanton mee, their soup is definitely one of a kind. Alot of black sauce and mee kia is slightly thicker than usual

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came on a Saturday and there were only 2-3 pax in the Q. Decided to try it chop! The Noodles + the sauce is the star here. No wonder always pple Q-ing. However, The char siew is the typical coloured char siew meat which was nothing special and I knew that was going to be the case.if u are chasing after excellent char siew, this is not the place for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4 stars - Very good, definitely worth a visit if you like this kind of food.
Visited Soon Kee Wanton Mee after rave reviews from friends, and a failed visit where we didn’t have time to queue.
You are given a generous portion of veg and charsiew and noodle, even with the small ($3.50) plate. Soup and wantons are the highlight - soup is rich and flavourful, unlike the MSG-water served at some other stalls.
The “black” noodles are sweet, while the “spicy” noodles pack a decent punch. Next time I’m back, I’ll get the “black” noodles with extra sambal to get the best of both worlds.
Remember to check Instagram before heading down, as they are sometimes closed, on top of the usual Mon-Wed breaks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you have read my previous post and you should know that i am a picky eater when come to noodles. ?
Here is another wanton noodles that considered my all times favourite, the texture of the noodle & most importantly there is no strong after taste of the typical yellow noodles. ?
Must try if you are nearby (sadly they only operate during thurs to sunday). ☺️ Do be patience as usually it comes with a long q, waiting period around 10-20mins. Unless you are there before 7am! ?
My usual order - normal wanton noodle add on with dumpling cost $5.50. ???
