Extremely poor professionalism. Tried to tell me Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and Michelin Primacy 4 is the same thing. Charge me $140 on one day and $180 two days later for the Primacy 4 tyres. Prices are expensive, owner is dishonest and poor service. Would not recommend

Swop tyres at the peace of mind..as my colleague is changing car and I'm taking over his sets of tyre. Mr Ng only charge me $50 labour! Cannot get elsewhere sia

Very dishonest owner and not professional at all in term of knowledge. I have a punctured tyre this morning and went to the shop for repairs. The owner said the tyre is beyond repair by patching which i agreed with as the tyre seems to have very big cut on the surface. Then i ask him how much is the cost of used and new tyre. He said dont know and need to take out the tyre and see. I was puzzled as the tyre code is clearly indicated on the rest of tyres. I hesitated for a while but without much choices, i agreed to go ahead. After 10 mins check, he told me there is no stock in the shop for new or used tyre, and charged me S$20 for putting back the tyre ??????!!!! Patching cost is only max S$10 (I supposed) and included removal and installation ?!! Pardon me and I total felt it was a scheme. Secondly, the owner was quite disappointed as can’t make any profit from his collections of used tyres and started pursuing me to use others tyre code. I refused and i explained there shall be purposes and better to use back the same code. The boss said he got so many years of experiences and all tyres are the same and can be used regardless of the width, sidewall height and etc …. HELLO ?!! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ??? IF YOU ARE RIGHT, then all tyre manufacturers shall only focus and produce less models. Don’t pretend if you don’t know. TERRIBLE ! TERRIBLE ! TERRIBLE ! PLEASE Don’t even try to enter the shop.

I'm not sure if this is the best place but this is my go to place for punctured tyres.

Very bad experience. Tyre punctured by nail at nearby. Wanted to do a quick patch work. But they claimed cannot be done. Got to change the tyre. Did not have time to check as I was rushing to another meeting. And I thought they were honest old men. But found out they charged me easily $20 - $30 more per type compared to any shops. Not recommended!

Has been changing tyre for couple of times , price is reasonable and has price tag on it .

Tyre punctured by a screw, patch initially quoted $10. I thought it was reasonable and OK'ed it; it was only when he removed the screw that he mentioned the hole is big, and requires two patches, so it became double the price ($20). I don't think this was honest. I still paid it; couldn't ask for a refund since the screw has already been removed right? He didn't even check if the patch was OK after it was done - other workshops would have sprayed soap water to check for leaks after the repair. I will not patronise this shop again. I should have drove further a few hundred metres north up Woodlands Road, where there are a couple of tyre shops clustered together at an industrial estate there. I had a flat tyre previously and was able to "shop" around for a decent workshop that could do the patchwork quickly and properly for less than $10. I regret this time I was lazy so I just came here as it was the closest tyre workshop from where I was. Even bigger regret was not reading the earlier reviews of this place before coming; true horror stories indeed. To be honest, I might be okay if he had told me that it could cost up to $20 before performing the repair, but in this case holding my car "hostage" by taking out the screw and then demanding double the initial quote of $10 isn't really honest at all. I do not recommend this business. Avoid if possible. Update: Patch was indeed not done well. Woke up to a completely flat tyre the next morning. I went to another tyre shop, and had to change out the entire tyre. When I asked how much he would have charged for a patch, he quoted me $5. I am definitely not going to patronise Sum Soon Tyres ever again.
