Spacious restaurant with good lighting but the food served was not up to standard as compared to other ala carte buffet as compared to other restaurants with similar price

8 January 2022 at 12noon, 9 of us join a local trip organised by Going Places Travel Pte Ltd for a Duck Tour including lunch provided by Summer Garden Restaurant at Safra Mount Faber. Out of 9, 4 are vegetarian, the other 5 of them, have 6 course lunch, but we are vegetarian only served 4 dishes. Not even a plate of vegetables and worst no rice at all, very disappointed. We are not full, upon reaching Bedok, we still have to go hawker centre to eat 2nd round for our lunch at 3.45pm. Will not visit again.

Was there for a wedding dinner. Food served was either bland, not marinated well enough or too salty. Soup had more starch than other ingredients. The roasted herbal duck meat was too tough. Roasted chicken was too dry. Dessert was too diluted. Amongst all the 8 dishes, only the Ee fu noodles tasted good. Overall, compared to their competitors, I think they have lots to improve on.

My Uncle and myself had used the Singapore Rediscover vouchers to sign up for a local one day duck tour held on the 8 Jan, organiser by your Company, Going Places Travel Pte Ltd. This tour will include 1 lunch to be serve at Summer Garden Restaurant at Mount Faber Safra. My Uncle and myself was a vegetarian, including another senior couple was also a vegetarian. 4 of Us was told to be seated at table 1. As We are not a meat eater, our lunch was served very late. This lunch suppose to be a 6 course lunch, but it turn out to be the worst lunch I ever had in my life. There was not even a plate of green vegetables on the table and the worst is the main dish, rice or noodles was not even been serve on the table. I had asked the restaurant waitress, she said she don't know. The 4 of Us don't even have a full lunch. I had feedback this to Mr Lee, he said he doesn't know anything about the vegetarian lunch, he don't even check with the restaurant why the vegetarian table don't even have rice and vegetable. He doesn't seen to care for people who are a vegetarian under his tour. The tour had already ended but up to today, I have not even receive any response from Mr Lee. After this unpleasant incident. We are not going to step into this travel agent again, not even sign up for any tour. We are also not going to visit this Chinese restaurant again. What a terrible experience.

Mother's day celebration. Excellent food. Been here many times and standard is still maintained.

It was nightmare. They made a noise with moving the partition during all our dinner time and even served desert with main dishes. Taste so so, but expensive. If you have deep patience and lots of money to be able to throw it out to dog, try this restaurant. Kk

Tried the ala carte buffet here a year ago and it was nice. Now no more buffet and only set menu for 10 pax or ala carte. Pros Food is passable and relatively cheap. Cons Place is understaffed, Noisy - from the diners and staff arranging table n cutlery hitting agst each other, certain items on menu (printed on crumbled A4 size paper in black n white) is not available Charge $3.50 per head for plain water/ soft drinks/ tea

Price of dishes are expensive e.g. $15 for a 'S' plate of stir fry spinach. I'm rather astonished that warm water was charged at $1.50 per person! Taste of food was so-so. Restaurant looks rather disorganized with a lot of wedding decor and staff inexperienced but courteous. First and last time for me.
