Dr. Tan is very patient doctor. He explained me everything about my gall bladder stones condition and did the cholecystectomy (removal of gall bladder) very nicely. The after care he provides is also excellent and very personal. He makes you feel very comfortable. I’m glad to be under his care.

My mum recently had her gallbladder removed by Dr Tan Chun Hai. Throughout her journey with him, Dr Tan was considerate and patiently explained all details to us. Dr Tan’s joyful demeanor kept my mum upbeat and gave her confidence for her surgery. He did a fantastic surgery and with his attentive post-operative care, my mum is now on the road to recovery! I was referred to Dr Tan by my medical doctor as I was suffering from acid reflux, what an amazing decision to make the appointment. On arrival at Consultation the staff were so friendly and put me at ease. On meeting Dr. Tan he impressed on how he had certain procedures that he adhered to for all cases and that he preferred it to be no different for me - that's great he is The Boss and very professional in ensuring all procedures are followed. He explained that he could not do the Gastroscopy / Colonoscopy if he felt I had a heart issue - so he sent me to a Heart Specialist for consultation. Needless to say i was well taken care of at APEX HEART CLINIC. The next day I was back at Gleneagles Endoscopy Department for the procedures. Mr Tan was there to greet me and prior to the procedures commencing in the Theatre, Mr Tan was making me feel at ease explaining all that was going to happen. I woke in recovery feeling fine and was greeted by the beaming faces of Dr Tan and Doris asking how i was feeling etc - so nice. On arriving home later that day i received a call from Dr Tan asking how I was feeling and explaining how the procedure had gone. Today I have received another call from Dr. Tan asking how I am feeling etc etc. I can only thank Dr Tan, Doris and the Team for such an amazing experience as they took away any concern or worries I may have had and certainly gave me the feel good factor. I have never felt so taken care of before in any of my previous operation experiences and would like to thank Dr tan for the most personal and most professional manner in which he operates. I visited Dr Tan at his clinic sometime in Q3 2021 for his advice and help with some of my health concerns. In the months that followed, it was clear to me that I made the right choice with Dr Tan as he (and his team) were nothing short of exemplary in terms of their professionalism, care, and overall expertise in pre and post-operative care. Dr Tan is respectful and it's clear that he cares deeply for his patients. He didn't rush through the initial phase where I had numerous questions and concerns about surgery; he patiently answered every question and made me feel reassured that I was in good hands. He took my safety and comfort as an utmost priority and he definitely followed through on his promises. My surgery went without a hitch, and I was discharged within two days; I couldn't have asked for a more seamless experience. Also worth mentioning is the fact that Dr Tan and his admin staff Doris were extremely helpful in assisting with all the required paperwork for my insurance claims. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that my documents were in order and submitted on time, even taking pains to patiently endure multiple queries and submission requests from my insurer. Amidst all of this, they also made regular calls post-op to check in on me and to make sure that I was healing well. I'm feeling much better now after surgery, compared to my pre-op self. I'd highly recommend Dr Tan and his team to anyone who is in need of bariatric surgery.

Dr Tan is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced surgeon and physician, who has many years of experience. As a clinician, Dr Tan is patient and detail oriented, always taking the effort to ensure patients understand their conditions and procedures proposed. He always welcomes questions and makes sure patients leave with no queries. As a surgeon and a procedurist, Dr Tan is well versed and experienced, ensuring patients and family members alike feel at ease and assured prior, during and after the procedure. He takes pains in ensuring that patients also understand results, scans and procedural/surgical findings in post surgical reviews, their implications & potential solutions, and never shies away from providing professional medical advice. Overall, Dr Tan’s practice provides excellent medical care to his patients and the experience can be described as one of assurance, clarity and compassion. It is with great confidence that I will recommend other patients to approach him for surgical consults and procedures!

Dr Tan was very attentive to my concerns and was very clear and concise in answering all my queries. He was very accommodating when I requested for an early surgery. His staffs, especially Doris, are very accommodating as well. She was very kind and quick to answer all my concerns and requests. The surgery was smooth and successful, no issues were faced. Just got an operation from Doctor Tan last week and was done very smoothly. In the consultation he explained to me how the procedure would go and assured that everything will be done properly. Doing a surgery by local anesthesia was quite nerve wrecking but Dr. Tan kept making sure I was fine throughout the surgery which made me feel at ease. His assistant Doris was of great help when had question asked. Overall a great experience with Surgicare clinic!
