Hi, my name is Johnny I was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia since January 2020 I was initially planned for bone marrow transplant under Dr Lim Zi Yi at Mt E Novena, unfortunately it was cancelled due to Covid19 pandemic as my matched donor was not available for my transplant. Dr Lim has suggested to me to go for ATG treatment instead, with the hope to improve my blood count so that I do not require blood transfusion. I was treated by Dr Ng at Gleneagles who is in the same team as Dr Lim. They work together very well. I was admitted to Gleneagles Hospital for 5 weeks to receive ATG treatment. Dr Ng treated me very well with ATG. He is very careful and detail about patient care that made me feel at peace. Dr Ng is not only expert in his field, he is also very communicative and provide great details on the treatment I was going through. He was very patient in answering all me queries. He knows what he is doing and you will know he is very sincere. Today (11 Jun 2020) is my 49th day without blood transfusion, and my condition is improving every day. I am Nyoto Wardoyo, 62 years old from Indonesia, treated by doctor NG Chin Hin at Mt Elizabeth Novena Hospital since October 14, 2020. My blood count was low therefore referred to Dr Ng for further evaluation. After the bone Marrow aspiration results came out and I was diagnosed to have Aplastic Anemia. Since then I was handled by doctor NG Chin Hin and was immediately treated with ATG, cyclosporin and eltrombopag on 16 October 2020. Since then I felt my enthusiasm was very high because the consultation with NG doctor was very good clear and very friendly also encourages me. My condition gradually improved and was declared discharged from the hospital on November 2, 2019. After discharge, I was required to be monitored every 3 days at DR NG Chin Hin clinic at Gleneagles Hospital. I chose Centre for Clinical Haematology at Gleneagles Hospital because the nurse was very friendly, the place was quieter and the consultation with the NG doctor was very clear, apart from the extensive time until I got a satisfied explanation. Finally, on January 18, 2021, I was declared cured of this Aplastic Anemia, and allowed to go back to Indonesia. Dr Ng has been very friendly and patient with us, he answers all the questions clearly throughout this difficult journey, he’s one of the best doctor my family has encountered so far.

I will like to commend Doctor Ng Chin Hin for being such a caring and wonderful doctor. He actually took his own personal time out together with my primary doctor a year plus ago to video call my father on my medical issues. He also does not make me take medication unecessarily and relieved me from all the medication I had to take when I was diagnosed with auto immune disease. I actually became better because the side effects from all the drugs made me feel worse then. To me, he's the epitome of what a real doctor should be. Caring, ethical, not money minded, empathetic and most importantly listens to his patient. Highly recommended to see him.
