T Bob's Corner - 89 Victoria St

Reserved a table on Sunday evening. Reached the restaurant and there was no customers there. Ordered Ribeye for the wife and Tenderloin for myself both Medium. Ordered Fish and Chips for the boy too. When the meats came, both cuts were well under medium rare. I am ok with that but the wife is pregnant so got the kitchen to fire up the ribeye again up to the required temp. The tenderloin at first seemed ok. However as I slowly make my way to the center, the meat was very raw and it was super tough as oppose to the name of the cut. The fish n chips came and the fish batter was very soaked in olive oil and was reeking of the oil smell. The boy usually likes crispy batter but this time he omitted the batter and just ate the fish inside. For a restaurant that seemed to be well versed with meats, they couldn’t be bothered to check and ensure the meats were of the right temp even when there was other customers around. Serving staff were also just sitting and chit chatting at one corner and one needs to wave to them to catch their attention instead of the other way around. For the price of the food, one would expect a higher level of standard. I used to patronise them twice at Bedok North branch and had nice experiences there. That was why we were willing to travel all the way to their new location at Victoria St but were left with disappointment. Wonder what happened..

4.5 stars! Chanced upon this eatery whilst on the way to my workout. We ordered the lamb, Buffalo wings and salted egg calamari. Portions are really big so we made a good choice to share all. Buffalo wings were flavorful, still a little crispy outside and tender inside. Lamb was tender with just a little hint of the gameyness n the mashed potatoes were creamy! The letdown was the calamari. The squids were big but the salted egg sauce was too watery making them soggy and lumpy. I wished they had made the sauce in a dry version or make it as a dip. Overall its a good, reasonably priced with big portions that are good for sharing place. Service was good n friendly too!

Here goes my honest ? review for T bob's corner! Cosy ambience! Let's straight go to food review. My friends and I ordered some dishes. 1st photo: Peanut ? Butter ? Banana ? Shake, it tastes perfectly buttery fruity ness from the banana and the richness of milky shake! 2nd photo: The soup ? of the day set is Mushroom ? soup which taste perfectly mushroom with no creamy based comes with garlic ? bread ?. Nice to dip in the soup! 3rd photo: Caramelized Lamb ? Shoulder as expected when it is grilled and a little harden but the sweetness from caramelized covered the flaw! 4th photo: Fried Mushroom ? as expected too. Crispy and since it is deep fried, don't expect it to be healthy though. 5th photo: Crispy Chicken ? Cutlet is a huge portion with the price. If you within the budget of 20 bucks and can add on a drink. 6th photo: BBQ Lamb ? Ribs is the bomb as this is my own meal. I gets to eat it with pleasure. The meat is juicy tender which you will never regretted. The only part that I think is missing, they should serve extra BBQ sauce for dipping.. That will make me fly in the sky. This is probably the worst Ribeye steak I ever had. The meat wasn't fresh and the taste was awful. Felt sick and nausea even on the 2nd day of the meal. Definitely will be my first and last time visit to the place. The staff are friendly and ambience of the place is decent. But I don't think it is worthwhile. With the price, you could easily enjoy a better steak at other places. Hence, strongly not recommended.

Found it to be overpriced for the quality and taste. We had ordered the meat platter (2 portions of beef ribs and 1 portion of lamb), some wings and salad and paid around $180. Went there for the smoked brisket which was their popular item but it wasn’t available and I understand that they may be removing in from the menu (tbc). We paid extra for the smoked brisket to be replaced by another portion of the beef ribs , default replacement was another portion of the lamb. Lamb was dry and something was just lacking, similarly for the ribs. We did not finish our meal that day. Having said that, their Baffalo wings were good. Chicken Caesar salad can be skipped too. Was really very disappointed as I was looking forward to my meal here. The service was also good. Do hope the food and pricing can be improved at some point.

Not worth coming. So expensive, better to eat elsewhere and it would taste better. Service is bad. Just throw our plates on the table and walk away. Just another halal place overcharging. Look at our steak. Its almost well-done when we ask for medium rare. Our calamari could swim in sea but this time it drowned in salted egg making it unpresentable and soggy and disgusting. Will warn others about coming to this place.

Located in front of Bus stop, opposite side of Bras Basah complex shopping centre. Next to 7-eleven. The meat looks so nice and wanted to try but here is no alcohol menu, we take cafe drinks and burger. Taste good. Terrible is service. Not everyone, but one staff has No smile and no sincere service. No hospitality. I think this is the first floor of hotel, traveling guests will drop here. Hope they don’t feel bad for Singapore. I really felt bad. Food would be nice, hope they improve hospitality.

Service was good, food was good as well! The ambience was not too great as this was located right next to the hotel lobby (there wasn't any partition) which felt a bit weird. For starters, got the calamari rings with salted egg which was good. The calamari wasn't drenched with sauce, was crispy and has just a little bit of chilipadi heat which balance out nicely. Got the lamb for myself which was tender and flavourful. Salmon was great, good portion of the salmon and was cooked well with the pasta. Overall, great experience, will definitely come again!
