Best Japanese restaurant in Singapore

M	Miak Siew on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambience was good, but the food had some that were hits (the karaage) and some that were misses (the uni in the seafood bowl wasn't fresh - it had become a bit watery) I think Tanoke would be a good place to come for sake (they have a wide collection) and have some of the appetisers with the sake. That I will give 5 stars. But for dinner, it falls a bit short.

J	Joanne Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ super good experience at tanoke. came on a public holiday and despite the crowd, service was on point and attentive. the food we ordered all came at a good pace. serving was just nice for my family, but for big eaters may feel their rice bowl & sando portions of be a little small. the food were all well seasoned and very nicely presented. For dessert, our favourite is the panna cotta followed by smores tart then the shiso lychee sorbet (although it is quite a good palette cleanser) likewise for the yuzu ice cream (i recommend it) ?? Overall, would definitely return for another meal ?

Chanced upon them last month during the Nespresso Singapore Restaurant week and made a reservation for my partner’s birthday for their 4-course dinner menu. Everything served was fantastic, my partner and I enjoyed them all. Service was excellent as well. Would definitely be back again some day :)

They have quite a good selection of sakes available too. Place is not too big (though they do have two levels) so reservation would still be recommended.
