Tarik - 78 Arab St

Could have easily missed it as it tucked among its extravagant neighbour of carpet sellers but thanks to the queue and the only queue along the row that caught the attention. Had wanted to try the saffron tea that reviewers rave abt but since it was my 1st time here, tried the familiar Teh Tarik iced instead and was one of the best I had. Look forward to the saffron tea on my next visit.

Ordered teh halia ($2) and zaffron tea ($2.50). Would prefer teh halia to be stronger with the ginger taste! Zaffron tea is unique and tastes good! Overall value for money!

We were walking past this hole-in-wall shop and the retro design caught our eyes. Importantly the beverages are reasonably priced. The owner was extremely smiley and friendly. His 10-year old daughter was even more charming and recommended us their signature Teh Zaffran. I am a huge fan of spiced tea. My friend and I decided to get the Teh Tarik and Teh Zaffran, despite the scorching afternoon. I didn't think much of it and decided to let my Teh Zaffran cool a little before drinking. And when I drank it, it completely made my day. It was so fragrant! If you like Masala Tea (which I do), you will love Teh Zaffran. I will definitely swing by here again for the awesome Teh Zaffran !!

I guess this the best teh tarik i ever drink, price quite reasonable,staff quite friendly. Its muslim owner..as you guys can see on my photo that teh tarik 2.5l for take away price $25 per box around 12 small cup..highly recomended !

Tucked among rugs and textile shops of Arab street is this newly opened hidden gem called Tarik. The shop has white & blue front and you can follow the spice fragrance (or the queue) - get your fix of fragrant teh and light bites. It’s a “hole in the wall” so only take always available

1st time here.Was passing by it when niece pointed out the place.Was located amongst textile shops. Easy to pass-by it. Tried their saffron tea..taste was good.Can taste a bit of cinnamon thou.?...The ice teh tarik was abit blan.Maybe the melting ice had something to do with it.? would be going back to try out the other drink types?.

Went to try their saffron tea. For 2 sgd, the quantity is a lot. The taste is really nice but after drinking half a cup it just becomes heavy on your tastebuds - saffron taste is gone. Get one cup for two to share. Caution - the tea is very very hot. We sat down around Haji lane to let the tea cool down a bit before consuming ?

Firstly, I was lucky the shop open today TUESDAY ? Past weekend was my first time trying this shop Teh Tarik [milk tea]. Ever since then, i kept thinking about re-visits. The two young chaps [seller] were friendly and assisted with my nosy inquiries...hehe ♡♡♡One of the best tea in town♡♡♡ I would rate teh tarik as the 1st choice because of its well brewed tea and rich creamy flavour. This is the safest choice for 1st timers. 2nd would be the zaffran [saffron] tea. Do not be alarmed as the recipe consists of masala [spices] & saffron. I wouldn't recommend those who dislike cardamom taste. However, this is the only exception I like saffron & masala tea. 3rd choice would be the mint tea. it provides a refreshing taste with a hint of mint. Definitely for those who dislike or milk intolerance. Coz it's a non dairy tea. Anyways, I love my tea with milk. Pardon me if this was a biased decision. A cup of tea cost < $3 A packet for 8 ~ 10pax < $20 A box for 15 pax < $30 Note: The no. of pax may vary. Coz estimate assumes mini cup consumption. Definitely a stop to make for couple or hanging out with friends.
