Very poor service attitude and bad hygiene standards. I lost all appetite after seeing the old man dipping his bare hands into the bucket of raw fishballs after wiping his toes with the same pair of hands. This must be the first and last time I patronise his stall.

This stall is manned by one grumpy old man with a fiery temper. Today I saw him losing his patience with an assistant and screaming at her to hurry up even though it was apparently her first day at work. I observed the old man dropping a bowl himself but wrongfully accusing the assistant of clumsily dropping it and yelling at her to pick up the fragments from the floor. He also ordered her around in front of the customers and telling her to pick all the litter around the area. He even scolded her for being too generous with giving the chopped chilli to customers, claiming it is very expensive and should be given sparingly. I found out from the assistant that she is an apprentice at the stall and is just doing it for free, yet she is being treated like a slave at the stall. The auntie kept telling her off, gossiping about her to neighbouring stallholders and humiliating her before all their customers, telling her she is useless and can't even tie up the carcinogenic plastic bag that they use to carry their noodles. The lao lan faced uncle also scolded her for being slow like a tortoise when washing the tonnes of bowls for them. If all hawkers have such an attitude and resort to such bullying antics, the hawker trade would really die out because the younger generation would not dare to take up this trade after experiencing such verbal and physical abuse.

The auntie cooking the noodles kicked up a big fuss just because I paused to ponder about what to order. She wants me to quickly tell her what I want. I also saw her scolding a customer in front of me for not advising her earlier that she doesn't want ketchup. This auntie is very rude, unfriendly and arrogant. I would never buy from them anymore.

Good hand made fishballs and dumplings. Fish cake is superb. Due to pandemic situations, unable to eat at the food centre. Noodles served in containers. Not able to rate fairly no doubt noodles have the al dented feel. What appeals to me is their bouncy fish balls.

Good noodles. Handmade fish balls are good albeit a little on the salty side. The hee kiow is special. Chilli and condiments go well. Tar bao becomes a little lumpy and dry though, added some hot water to loosen it.

If you are looking for a good bowl of fishball noodles with 古早味 & handmade fishballs, this shouldn't disappoint. The noodles is slightly on the stickier side, but it goes really well with the chilli. The fishballs, hee giao, fish cakes are delicious, so is the soup. For $4 for a small bowl, the portion is just nice for breakfast. And yes, be warned the old couple can be grumpy at times. So far so good for me :)
