β β β β β An oasis in the middle of the city. This grand old dame is an integral part of Singapore's storied past. It is on the same street that includes a mosque, Buddhist temple, Taoist temple and Nagore Durgha shrine built by muslim Tamils. A testament to racial harmony at in action.

β β β β β Unique and interesting facade. The interior is rather sparse as you'd expect a Methodist church to be, but it doesn't make as munch sense with the exterior. The building really stands out among the more traditional Chinese buildings around.

Restored building in the CBD housing a church established in 1889.
It's amazing how the areas immediately around it is redeveloped while maintaining the integrity of buildings like these which are more than a century old! In this case, there are new buildings all around, and of course the MRT system underground.
The ingenuity of humans! Engineers are so essential in making lives easier, but are usually unnoticed ??
