Delicious bowl of Laksa, rich creamy gravy with plenty of seafood. Previous reviews are wrong. Delightful couple running stall, must visit when in Chinatown

Don’t know what’s up with the other reviews. I’ve had Terry Laksa at least 5 times. It’s been excellent every single time. I’d even go so far as to say this is my favourite laksa. Plus proprietor is always friendly and polite. I’d definitely return for more in future.

I grew up in the East with the real Katong laksa. This is one of the best bowls I've had in a long time. They do things the old school way, with no added MSG and sugar. This place deserves more love!

I'm a born and bred local. The food tastes pretty good overall. Gravy was thick and almost gooey. The couple running the stall were nice and meticulous in their craft. portions do tend to be small for good laksa (especially if you go to laksa specialist stalls). I had a medium portion which was pretty decent. My only gripe is that the gravy could have been more robust if more fried shrimp had been used.

HALF BOWL. HALF star HAHAHAHA See to Believe. Taste: rather not say. Once is enough. Quality: same for the above. Prawn is one small prawn. See picture. Actually cut half. Fish cake.....if they can slice thinner they will try. Paper thin. Hahahaha what is this! One more: Not environmental friendly at all!!!! Look at the chopstick and spoon are disposal.

Small bowl of laksa for $4.50. Despite its milky appearance, broth is severely lacking in coconut milk fragrance and flavour. Prawns are over cooked, and split in half. Those prawns in the picture are actually half prawns. The noodles (or more accurately vermicelli), are broken. The bosslady was cutting them up with scissors into bite-sized chunks, but this just ruins the experience. Spoon and chopsticks are disposables, but the disposable chopsticks are so low quality there's splinters coming off of it. The bosslady was actually seen weighing the laksa portions down to the gram, so while you do get a 'standard' bowl of laksa each time, it just makes the stall look more stingy. Overall a mediocre experience for $4.50. If you want a better laksa, try the other laksa stalls here, or go to Qiji (franchise in Singapore) and get their laksa.

Definitely not the worse food as mentioned by the previous commentators. This is the place where I will come and taste it again everytime when I'm back to SG. The price for a normal bowl is SGD 3.50 (yes, the portion is kinda small), unless you requested extra gravy etc. If you happen to know the history of this laksa, the rice noodles are purposely teared into short length, so you can use spoon, scoop with the laksa and taste the noodles and laksa both in your mouth. The laksa is well prepared, of course you can taste the fragrance of the santan, and also the dried small prawns (powder?). For those who complained that he serve it with disposable spoon and chopsticks, please do comment the other stalls like Hawker Chan which had 1 star Michelin, they serve poly plates, spoon and forks. Conclusion, what else you wanna complain, if you can have Katong Laksa near to tourist area and doesn't require you to go Katong for a bowl of laksa? Unless you doesn't like it?

I grew up in Katong and had many different laksas I can say this is a decent bowl of laksa. Maybe they too used to too much msg and overwhelming coconut milk !
