Thanying Restaurant - 165 Tanjong Pagar Road #02-00 Amara Hotel

This place is a complete rip off. Be warned! Very expensive and mediocre quality of food and service. Restaurant was almost empty at dinner time. Only 3 tables were occupied. Crab omelette had very few pieces of crab meat. Long beans with prawns had only a few prawns and the prawns were not fresh. Duck curry was bland and the portion was small. $110 for just a few dishes for 2 persons. Will never come back again!

Thanying Restaurant This Thai brand has been around for quite some while, serves solid Thai fare and has some good food. Place is quite spacious and service is professional. Good Thai food but price on the high side as it is in a hotel. 15%discount if you use UOB card. We love the mango sticky rice!

We had the best green curry pork here. And the chicken is fantastic nice. Even there is less staff and we waited a bit but it was still very good. We sure come back again many many time

We tried new dishes this time and surprising the rice crackers taste so nice with the sauce! Recommend their fried kuay tiao too! The crab fried rice is more of average.

Went with a group for birthday lunch. Delicious food and excellent service, will come again. This restaurant is located at Amara Hotel. Best to come with a big group and share the wide spread of dishes. They have private room facility.

Very nice. Especially enjoyed the green curry. Probably among the best I had in SG. The rest were also good, but could’ve been better if they were a bit less salty. Fantastic service! We enjoyed the lunch very much.

We had an awkward number of guests in our dinner party comprising adults, kids and baby. We needed help with the menu and the service staff handled it very well. We just told him the dishes we wanted and left the portioning with him. He was so honest, telling us it is enough and certain items only need 1 pc per adult cos the portion was big and we could share that with our kids if they wanted to try. Throughout the dinner, service staff would pop by from time to time and ask if everything was okay and if we needed anything else. This is old-school waiting “gold” standard that is sadly missing in so many joints these days cos of the labour crunch. Well done Thanying! I would have given a 5 star rating cos the food was on point except for the steam fish. It was served piping hot but turned cold quite quickly and the taste thereon was not so great We shall return to try other dishes which we did not order
