I dont use to like Ang ku kueh until I tried tge legendery mindblowing akk from ahhoodkueh last year we ordet 100 pcs. However the shop owner is unwell now.so i turn to their niece's shop akk hut thry qre quite close..My fav is Pistachio and Hazelnut mungbean Akk.But i still misses ahhoodkueh gula melaka coconut .. After try Ji xiang its Is soso... Ahhood and akk hut Qq Mochi best already..

Very good AKK especially the fillings are super smooth & compact. It would be perfect if the subtle alkaline taste within the skin can be removed. Outstanding service recovery when the delivery set has a missing item. It was replaced and delivered within the next hour.

Rare find of Pistachio! It was love at first bite. The skin thickness is just right, fragrant and the fillings are generous! Simply a notch above the conventional ones. Glad that I reserved, worried they went oos when I get there.

Finally get my hands on @theakkhut AKK. Been wanting to try because of their pistachio flavour which attracted me. What I like about @theakkhut is that the skin is soft, chewy and quite thin except the pistachio which personally feels the skin is thicker here. They are really generous with the filling and the texture is smooth and not too sweet. Among the AKK the most standout would be Hazelnut and Pistachio for me. Hazelnut which tasted like Ferraro Rocher with nutty aroma of the hazelnut. This is not permanent ? I hope they make this permanent in menu. Pistachio, like actual nut with a distinct strong nutty fragrance. The nut-tiness here is the strongest compare to Hazelnut and Peanut. While the price is not cheap at $2 per pcs but is really worth every nutty bite. Yam with smooth yam paste filling and some yam bits. Yam lover will rejoice in this and that's me ? My first time trying out, shop is located in a nostalgic shophouse next to Whampoa market. Friendly young lady serving me. Appreciate their creativity, sincere in making each pcs of kueh. Tried their chempedak flavour, truly an 'exotic' Ang Ku Kueh. The skin is soft n fairly chewy, still prefer the skin by the Everton Park, is down to an individual preference. The kueh is slightly to the pricey side.

I’m giving 1 star for every flavour done right. The green bean and red bean fillings are nice, smooth filling with thin skin. Now, let’s start with packaging, I preordered the Ang ku kueh and when I received them, the container was full of condensation as seen in the photo that resulted in Ang ku kueh with water damage and we all know what will happen when so much condensation sets in the container of cooked food, it will cause it to turn much quicker. Maybe avoid packing warm Ang ku kueh in box will solve the problem. The peanut filling is too pasty to the point that it stick to your upper mouth and teeth, the pasty peanut is not suitable for Ang ku kueh and the yam filling tasted like yam mixed with bean paste, lacking yam full body flavour. Would recommend the bean filling but do not preorder so the Ang jur kuehs would not be ruined.

A modern little store selling the most delicious traditional snack we know. However their rendition cannot compete with the name we all know and love. Simply because the skin does not yield to the bite, it is tender enough but lacks elasticity to give the chew. The mung bean filling is bland and lacks depth. The yam was similar in quality, decent but not astounding. With a name like that, it does make it all about the A-K-K, but it will not usurp the crown.
