The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf™ - Greenwich V

Tl;dr Greenwashing! Bizarre customer service! Avoid Coffee Bean and sleep better at night! ? (1) The $7.20 slice of cake was stale - maybe that’s why they run the $5 promotion? (2) Staff will constantly remind you of the “60min dine in limit” - I went to the counter to check on my drink order (which I waited 15min for, from 6.15 to 6.33pm because of staff inattention) and the staff cut me off to remind me of the dine-in limit ? (3) What takes the cake, and why I will not return to Coffee Bean, is their greenwashing. They sell “environmental flasks” for up to $60 per Mickey Mouse flask, but rampantly use plastic forks and paper sleeves for dine-in cakes and drinks. (The metal fork and straw you see in the photo is cutlery that we brought along - I was too late to stop the staff from putting the one-time-use fork on my plate). Lesson learned: resist the expensive ice drinks, and sleep better at night! Edit: forgot to mention, the first thing the other staff said to us when we entered is “Scan the TraceTogether” (we had already scanned the QR code at the door) and again “Are you studying here? Only 60min”. Haven’t been interrogated in a while, until this guy!

either their outlet doesn’t get rostered enough staff for the shift or someone is on mc all the time! as whenever i do visit, be it for take-away or dine-in… everything happens so slowly. and it’s not even peak hours when I come by. not the best service either and food prep hygiene is questionable too… with the kitchen and dishwashing area in clear view from the pick-up station.

Horrible experience! Never come, nightmare. Both staffs are very reluctant to serve (work). Waited almost half an hour for drinks and ready serve cake. Follow up few times for breakfast order. Came 40 mnts after with burnt food!

I love to pick up a cup of coffee here whenever I pass by. Usually not crowded, so the typical arrangement of 2 working staff per shift doesn't irritates me as much as other busier outlets. The staff here are also very professional, friendly, and puts on a smiley face, very welcoming. Parking may be a challenge during lunch and dinner hours.

Absolute rubbish. Crossaint burnt. Coffee bad. Muffins dry. Panini bread w sets are such bad value for what they are. Truly a last resort place to eat. Air-conditioning turns on at 10am here. But is on at cedele at 9am. We were here before 9am when cedele wasn't open. Huge mistake.

The female lady staff is so friendly and nice!! Ask her for recommendation of drinks and all and she reply me patiently and recommend me accordingly. (Ahahaha! Keep drinking Starbucks until not sure what to drink at coffee bean, will come by again!)

Pros: - Their caramel macchiato is better than Starbucks. - Place ambiance is good for friends catch up. - Their Hazelnut tart is good as the sweetness is just nice and the tart shell taste like a biscuit. - It is open 24/7. Cons: - Their pizza is soggy and - Caesar salad lacks dressing. - Tuna mayo sandwich is a bit dry.

It’s nice that they are open 24/7 even on public holidays. However, even with no customers my order was forgotten immediately after it was made?!? Had to remind them after waiting for 20 mins. I’m not angry, but it was just a little strange that could happen with 3 available staff..
