The Cooperage - 42 Hongkong St

Made a booking for dinner 2 days eaelier, and when we arrived on the night, after paying for a taxi to get there, we were told that they did not have a table available. Apparently they did not get the reservation until the day after we made it. One would think that if there was an issue with booking on the internet, it would have happened plenty of times in the past. They have not done anything to prevent this issue. Not acceptable, we went somewhere else instead.

Must go for Whisky lovers. Food portion is very small but delicious. Chicken wings thumbs up.

Very cosy and friendly place to chill out with wine or whiskey! They served decent food and you can find varieties of nice whisky ?. Do check your whiskey price as some can be very high! If you have friend to spend time and chill.. an ideal place for sure !

Ordered the Tomahawk Steak (2 days in advance) and this is really good. 3 grown men and we finished 90% for for meant for 4 pax. Beef is very juicy and TOP quality. Another must order, the Cuttlefish! It’s the best in town, juicy!

Gonna say the food quality is really good. The whiskey collection is great for such a small set up. Sadly the cocktails are not to my liking but this is really a whiskey lover hang. Must try!

friendly and attentive staffs... love the ambience of it.. a nice place to chill out.... interesting way of serving lobster bisque.. and it tastes as good as it looks....

Attention to detail is how I would describe my experience at The Cooperage. High demand for seats here mean you need to book a week or 2 in advance. FYI, the bar seats are still perfectly comfortable. Even if there are no tables available, I'd recommend you grab a chair or 2. The tapas and thin crust pizza ordered were well executed and served pretty quickly. There was a tough decision to make when it came down to fighting for the last piece since the flavours were so awesome! But hey, my date gets first pick aye? ? We didn't try any of the whiskeys that night even though the menu contained such a huge variety. However, I can comment on the cocktails served - amazing work done by the bartender in crafting and serving up glass after glass of magic potions the entire night. Patrons(self included) find themselves curious whenever a new drink gets served. Such flair is commendable. Most importantly, service staff made the night simply wonderful. The level of hospitality I experienced made me feel welcomed, and at home. It was a truly friendly and fun environment to be in. Will I go back for more? Definitely! What better way to reward the entire team for a job well done am I right? Cheers ?
