I have been a student of Epicmind for several years, tutored by Kelvin, Anne and Kenneth. I was a student from Primary 3 all the way to Secondary 4. Kenneth, responsible for tutoring me through Primary School, shaped me in various ways - teaching me to persevere even through tough questions as well as stayed back till late to ensure I had my concepts down. Kenneth was insistent on never letting me give up, but rather to find solutions to every question. Considering I was rather rowdy, Kenneth truly had alot of patience while guiding me through my Primary years. Kelvin, and his wife, Anne, have been more than just teachers to me. Specifically Kelvin, who has definitely guided me to be the way I am today. Kelvin and Anne are unlike other tuition teachers who only care about grades - they not only focus on that, but on character as well. During days where I had multiple problems and couldn't focus, Kelvin would take time to check up on me and ensure I was in the right state of mind. During days I was exhausted, he made me coffee to tide me through the papers. Kelvin made lessons enjoyable rather than a dread - explaining formulas I couldn't grasp in a way I could comprehend. Kelvin truly teaches from his heart, not from the wallet. His mindset as always been "As long as you're willing to learn, I'm willing to teach." - for those days I truly was struggling with school, Kelvin let me stay behind to clarify my doubts. Kelvin sees past the vision of secondary schooling - he truly helps us and motivates us in professions we were unsure of. I personally remember when I wanted to try out photography, Kelvin did not hesitate to lend me his camera to try it out. This is the extent they went to in order to support me. Where else can you find such dedicated teachers? Personally, I'd strongly recommend for those who are considering to attend to try at least one trial lesson, and for those who are considering Mathstery to join. Mathstery truly improved my grades tremendously. Every teacher I had encountered in my years of being in Epicmind was extremely passionate in their profession, and that's why this tuition centre would always have a special place in my heart. I've made hundreds of memories with friends and teachers alike. Thank you Kelvin, for being a father-figure I could rely on during my stay there. Beyond grateful for everyone there. Really, it was more than just a tuition centre. It felt like home.
