The Forage Cafe @ Pari Burong - 30 Jln Pari Burong

Their Spicy Carbonara Pasta is worth a compliment.. creamy and flavourful. Disappointed with their Panko Crusted Truffles Chicken though.. wild mushroom ragout with Black Truffle Oil plus bed of Baby Spinach is quite ok, but the crispy chicken pieces taste like they have purchased off the shelves… Crust is Hard and VERY Salty! Wonder if the chef ever tasted what they prepared. I think they use the same type of Crispy chicken for their Katsu Don (Which i initially ordered but they ran out of Rice ??‍♂️).

We came on a Saturday afternoon (with reservation) and it wasn't as crowded as I thought. We ordered a latte and flat white - both our drinks weren't hot as compared to barista coffees elsewhere. But it didn't taste as bad when we mixed it with honey. ? For mains, we had a Forage Big Breakfast set (S$24) and a meat free (S$19). The waffles were really thick and fluffy (not the crispy type). ? But the avocado in the meat free tasted weird so I scrape it off~ very chill vibes, but the sun's really hot since it's situated in the middle of nowhere. ?

The waffles are really good here, and with big portion. Flower teas are nice too! If you use fave app, you can buy purchase the $40 voucher as a $50 deduction, means you saved $10. Good deal. Friendly waiters and cashier.

It is a shame because this used to be my favourite cafe. They have replaced all the staffs and the new ones could not make one thing right, their attitude is also terrible! Our food comes cold with no utensil, the serving staff looks like he wants to get away from customers as soon possible. Our drink came 30 minutes late, the staff actually forgot our order because he only ask us Hot or Cold much later. One thing I liked about this cafe was that the staff always explained all ingredients inside their drink and how each honey helps your health, but this new staff just read through as fast as possible, almost like he’s rapping. We ordered one Salmon & egg waffle, one turkey & cheese waffle and 1 antidote drink. The salmon waffle looks messy inside with uncooked cheese in it, and no egg. The antidote drink’s color looks all wrong(usually it’s light purple, now it’s just yellowish) and missing many ingredients. We have eaten here many times and these are all very different (much worse) from what we have experienced before. Overall terrible experience and would not eat here again if they do not bring back the standard they once had. The food all comes at premium price so we expect the same from your service.

Have been to Forage Cafe a handful of times. Interesting cafe concept to substitute sugar with honey. Service was good and food served promptly even though the cafe is filled with people. Generous serving of coffee and tea. A wide variety of tarts and are not too sweet too. The panda gula melaka was good too but a tad sweet for our liking. Overall the desserts are good and we will always visit whenever we are around the vicinity.

We came for dinner on a whim and was surprised it was empty. The waffles were really good. Definitely must try and will eat again. The honey doesn’t seem very special so I felt it was over priced. Location wise it’s easily accessible from the bus stop!

Chill vibes and great food. Staff was very friendly. We went around 6pm on a Saturday. Place was pretty empty but started to fill up as we left around 7pm. The food is delicious but nothing fancy if you are looking for surprises. The Honey Series drinks are a must try. Good flavour combinations topped with quality honey. Apart from food, Forage Cafe also sells multifloral honey ;) Enjoy!

Tried the Limited time special 48hr beef short ribs - exceeds expectation. The recommendations Chicken waffle and sesame cake is great as well. For me the Chicken waffle is eaten as both main and dessert (you can add honey on one side). Sesame cake is light and worth trying. Sweetness just right.
