THE GYM - 42 E Coast Rd

Positives: The gym offers everything you need. It is not overly large or luxurious but has enough space and a lot of machines - there are 2 to 3 of each available. Place is kept clean, disinfectant wipes available etc. Never smelly or anything. The best thing about this place is the FREELANCE PT who works there - Damien. He is absolutely one of the best PT. I have been working with him for 2 years and he is just the best. He helped me loose a lot of weight and get fit and a friend of mine lost a whopping 35kg in 6 months (and that in his 50’s!) Not kidding. Damien knows his stuff, loves fitness and is genuinely interested in supporting and helping his clients. Walk over and ask for him... really worth every penny ( and not expensive). He is the reason I am writing this review. So good I want to support by sharing. Negatives: Bathroom and downstairs space could be improved. No great space for cardio except downstairs in the entrance hall. Gym is really good and Damien is the best.

Reasonably priced, awesome gym. Good equipment, friendly staff and patrons and plenty of space.

I been going to The Gym about.. 2 years? It used to be really good gym for someone who likes to workout alone at a quiet gym. These days maybe owner had to find a way to survive a lot of freelancing PT at the gym and they are coming more and more which i find it’s annoying i might wanna change to other gym where has similar facility and in east coast area. In the morning, afternoon, evening it used to be quiet and where’s all these PT coming from? This gym used to be good not anymore

Been training here with our PT for over a year now. Started out with 2 sections, and now it’s recently expanded to include a huge section with shiny, new Hammer Strength machines. It’s not a fancy gym: The Gym doesn’t waste time on aesthetics. No instagrammable spots, fancy murals, scented candles and the lighting is so-so. But, everything works and it’s safe, and that’s all that matters. You tap in, smash your workout, clean up after yourself and go. There’s something for everybody there, whether you are a beginner or veteran, and really does offer a bang for your buck. Location wise: it’s right behind a busy bus stop, next to two supermarkets, plenty of food choices (too many, in fact) and parking is nearby (but not free).

This is an excellent 24 hr gym and it is never crowded even during peak hours. You can find almost every exercise equipment available in a gym. If you make the effort to workout ?️‍♀️ regularly, you are sure to get bigger and stronger ?

There are 4 full sections now, making it one of the more spacious gyms in the city. Whether you like free weights, machines, pulleys, cardio or conditioning, there's pretty much everything you can ask for. And all the equipment is in great condition, really well maintained.

Awesome gym and is really well run (owner managed by Ben). I've been training there for the last three years and it has all the weights and equipment you could ever need, plus the gym has recently expanded over two floors and has more equipment on the way!! The gym is clean and has a nice atmosphere....an all round great place to train.

This is a lovely gym to train at. There is a wide variety of equipment and everything is always neat and clean. The owner is very kind and welcoming, and you can tell that he really cares about his gym and the people that train there. It’s never overly crowded (even during peak hours) and has a nice relaxed vibe. I would also say that the price point is fair for what you get in return. I highly recommend this gym to anybody looking for a place to train - it’s probably the best one I have ever been to :)
