โ โ โ โ โ I was very surprised at how generous they were with their serving. Both the truffle gyu don and Chicken karaage that I ordered were huge, to the point I had to share the karaage with my friend. For the price of $17, this was definitely a steal.
We found ourselves clearing our bowls and leaving the place delighted and satisfied even though we were completely full and that was how addictive the food there was.
Will definitely come back for more!

The marinade or accompanying sauce could be more intense and flavourful. Need more umami for the extra oomph.
The tasty snacks and beer food are only served after 5pm. What a pity!
Limited seating, so come early.
Ordering via QR Code is super easy and convenient.
Drinks are self-service.

Extra serving of rice, cabbage & onions are free! Include that in Remarks when placing your order!

โ โ โ โ โ The truffle gyu don was quite tasty, though maybe could use a bit more salt. I ordered double portion and got quite a good portion of meat - so was definitely happy there. Truffle flavour and fragrance was great, and at the same time wasn't too overpowering - the ginger was refreshing and helped too!

The miso soup was bland and tasted like egg drop soup. Chawamushi was excellent, and I believe they included one or two edamame seeds as well!โฃ

We prefer the mentaiko rainbow trout don. The classic gyudon is a tad underwhelming in terms of flavor, but I love how they serve the onsen egg runny. โฃ

โ โ โ โ โ The portion of beef was pretty generous and the miso soup had a interesting blend to it.
Ordered some wine from them too. The manager of the place really took his time to explain to us the different types of wine before our purchase. Really appreciated that!

1. Generous portion of beef, which is quite tender.
2. Free upsize for rice and cabbage.
3. Wide selection of alcohol. There is a fantastic sale on wine and I ordered 5 bottles on their website.
The not so good:
1. The gyu don could be more flavourful as a whole, especially the beef.

โ โ โ โ โ Went there with my boyfriend the other day and we had the truffle gyudon & the buta kakuni don with double meat for both (because I'm on strict keto diet) so he had to finish the rice for me hahaha. We also ordered the extra onion at no extra charge and we were honestly surprised at the serving. They gave us so much onion and the meat as well! Was pleasantly surprised by their service too as we came pretty late, but they still gave their utmost servicing us. Do note that indoor seating is not available now due to COVID restriction, and the place is pretty far off from thr MRT so we had to walk quite a distance. Other than that I would say the food is really worth the value.

โ โ โ โ โ Tried the classic gyudon, and it was very tasty! The yolk was rich and runny and really enhanced the flavour of the beef. The ginger was also a great addition, and the rice was well-seasoned. The price point is extremely affordable as well. Would definitely come back again to try more items on the menu!
