After reading few renovation company reviews from the website, we decided to go with TIL to design and renovate our home. Andrew was the ID assigned to us and found him to be approachable and accommodating . Mostly, he could articulate designs, to what we want for our home. Great communication and helped alot with all the follow ups. He was always prompt with his replies, and appreciate his openness to discuss every matter. Andrew was very helpful assisting us on coordinating with his team from carpentry , plumbing to even air con installation. His workers were reliable and we trusted them during the whole process of our renovation journey. Great service from start till the end of the whole renovation. Definitely a pleasant experience working along with Andrew, I would not hesitate to refer TIL and Andrew to my family and friends too.

I had a great experience working with Suki for my renovation. She is responsive and very efficient. She is always open to listening to my questions and takes effort to answer and explain to me thoroughly. In her planning, she also offered really good suggestions in terms of lighting and furnishing that worked out very well. I had a tight deadline and she planned the renovation brilliantly so that I was able to get my house on time. She kept me updated regularly so I did not have to worry about the renovation process at all. I highly recommended Suki if you are planning to look for an ID at the Interior Lab!

We went through many Interior Design websites and met up with many IDs in their offices & on site at our new house. Their proposed designs were either literally from what we said without value add/ downstream impact considerations, or at the other extreme of taking down walls even though it’s a new development. Some did not come back with the proposal/ quotation after meeting up, and those who did was only rectangles and circles to visualize how the design would turn out to be as the 3D sketch could only be done upon certain amount of payment. Suki was the only one who was able to quickly put what we were looking for in a Dream Home into hand drawn sketches; only after one virtual session at night to understand our requirements. We signed up with her immediately when we met up in her office. Her professionalism and passion in her work were very apparent in that session. She understood readily what we were looking for, and could put them into hand drawn sketches on the spot. She even readily offered us different consideration viewpoints based on her experience. Throughout the renovation period, she remained to be responsive & reliable when we contacted her at anytime (augmented by a group of responsible contractors, who were able to accommodate our needs and adjustments). She was also resourceful with good project management skills & practical with user centric thinking design. We would drop by the new house during the renovation period, and would have suggestions to refine certain part of the reno. She was very patient & flexible to accommodate even though we have signed off the proposed design, as she found the suggested refinement were reasonable & it’s for long term usability. Her response was also very prompt to the shifting of the lighting points from the original agreed to another preferred location without additional cost. At the end of the renovation, she indeed achieved the design of our dream home, because she was able to understand our needs so well, and the outcome of the home design is exactly from her 3D design; down to the colour and laminate proposed by her, absolutely requiring no amendment; built with superior workmanship within budget. It was an enjoyable experience working with her. Thank you, Suki, for your beautiful design.

Saw TIL on YouTube decided to engage them and was assigned Joel . She throw out some ideas at our first meeting and we were comfortable with it. We emphasis that we would like the space to feel spacious and also a toy display cabinet is of importance . Her ideas are out of the norm from what have seen from Pinterest or Qanvast. The renovation itself was pretty smooth. She will often drop down the unit to have a look . As we are working on a tight timeline she set reasonable expectations , since our Reno will be done through the CNY period . She have factor in sufficient buffer into the project and we are able to move in before the expected completion date . Pre Reno , we notice Minor issues here and there , our calls to her was responded promptly and she arrange for her guys to come rectify the problems in a few days .

We would like to thank Joel for the job well done. The 1st time we meet Joel, we were having our newborn. We relied heavily on her to work on the details of the design and execution. Joel is highly professional. She paid great attention to details when considering how we would use the space and created a design that is practical without compromising on aesthetics. She would discuss the design with us every step of the way, telling us the pros and cons, before executing. We did not need to make home visits to check on progress. Joel took initiative to update us on the progress and was responsive to queries. Joel also went the extra mile to help us choose each piece of furniture to complement the design. We are grateful to Joel and her team for the smooth renovation process and calming yet modern evergreen design. We would recommend Joel to others.

We saw the TIL on YouTube and found Yen’s design unique and nice.. so we arranged a meet up with her. Yen listened and understood what we want. On the 2nd meeting, she worked out some designs specific to our home (4 room HDB) to let us see if her vision was in line with ours. I could say it really hit what we wanted. The way Yen played with the lights in the living room really won my heart. She also listened and designed the study room in a way that it opens up the living room without compromising the study room space. The quote Yen gave is not the cheapest. But we must say it’s value for money. We selected TIL after meeting 4 companies. We had a tight schedule: we can only start renovation on 15 Feb 2022 and needs to move in by end of April 2022. Yen was confident and really delivered. We moved into our house on 28 April 2022, although there were still a lot of minor works to be done then, we at least could still move in without delay. We must say whenever we had issues with the renovation works, Yen was very responsive and always sent her guys to do the rectification timely. During this Covid period, where there are rising costs of materials and manpower, Yen and her team could still deliver my project on time, managed the costing and manpower issues quite well. We are quite impressed and feel blessed at the same time. Now we are happily settled down in our new home for almost 3 months. What we can say is we appreciate the subtleness of Yen’s design and her choice of color for our home, if we need to change the look of our home.. we could easily change the color of our accessories and furniture without changing the design and layout of the place.

The Interior Lab quotation was not the cheapest after compare few ID firm.We will extremely glad that we choose Jo-ann Cheong to be the ID for our dream home.She always come out with a suggestion with do(s) & dont(s) and within our budget.There's really no HIDDEN COST! So there's nothing to worry about!!Her drawing was very details.During pandemic time, most of the material are out of stock or shipment delay.Jo-ann try to solve all these problem for us. Really appreaciate her efforts to help us find all the out of stock material.During the renovation,Jo-ann was super helpful assisting us on coordination with her team from carpentry, plumbing ,tiles work.She always check the contractors' workmanship before I go down to the site. She will inform us the errors place & get it rectified ASAP. She will be consistent updates in a timely manner. So I can concentrate with my office work.Really LOVE the track light at living room. She proposed to use the long track light at two side. It make my living room's ceiling looks so neatly ?. Their workmanship really good, no worry cheat in work & cut down on materials. TIL's cleaning work are the best! Basically, just need to do a simple cleaning job before we move in. With her help,we can move in to our dream home before hand out our old flat. We cant thanks her & her team enough with what they have done for us. I will definitely recommend JO-ANN CHEONG / THE INTERIOR LAB to others !!!

We moved in to our unit a couple of years ago and back then, had quite a bad renovation experience with another ID firm. There was also insufficient storage cabinets at home, resulting in a very messy looking study room. The master bedroom also could do with better storage than the off-the-shelf furniture that we bought. Sophia talked to us and very patiently listened to our needs. From the photo ideas that I sent her, she very diligently put together a design proposal that my husband and I could agree with, and that met our storage needs - down to the last detail of shelving depth and height, and chosen finishing like the door detail and laminates. Definitely a much better journey than the last time round! In terms of execution, this was flawlessly coordinated. Sophia timed each step with multiple parties, and everything flowed so well that I had complete peace of mind during the process. And finally, the outcome - the carpentry work is of excellent quality, edges are smoothened and workmanship is solid. Because of the attention to detail in measurements, everything fit into place. This made all the difference because we had existing lights to move, existing fans and ceiling trimming to work around. All in all, I am very grateful that Sophia agreed to take on our project which although not a renovation of our whole unit, involved finessing of our false ceiling and lighting in order to build the carpentry in place.
