It falls within the less oilly n lighter taste range of local wanton mees. Wanton meat is lean n a bit dry, noodles can be more QQ, cha siew is a bit tough n dry. Soup is tasty n can be less peppery. Paying S$5 for a small size, n they don't serve with deep fried pork lar. I personallyprefer the Eng type instead of Fei Fei.

The noodles texture is chunky and dry. Char Siew is dry. Wanton is small. Overall, taste is way below average.

Should Be My 3rd Or 4th Visit... Quite Disappointed As Their Standard On Their Signature Wonton Noodles & Services Seems To Have Dropped Lots Over Time~ ?

One thing different about them is the noodles. It's distinctively different in a good way. Doesn't clump together and has a good texture. Ordered mine with minimal chilli and it still tastes good! Not crowded at all when I visited on 30 sep 2021 at about 130pm.

The fried meatballs were delicious and the wanton Mee is the oily (not soya type). The red chilli sauce was especially fragrant.

a let down, expensive, but quality way lower than cheap hawker standard wanton noodle. 1. Noodle didn’t even to bother cook properly. After cooking, need to clean and cool down with cold water to remove excess starch and prevent the stickiness. 2. Char Siew are like boil version. Pre sliced, and let it air dried and hard. Nothing char or fragrance. Just like a dried meat. (Tip: Usually roasted pork stall have better wanton with char siew). Wanton taste so so. Nothing stand out. Vege , pathetic portion, lack of freshness. Vege all are boil in advance in large quantity and cut to smaller pieces, left to deteriorate / oxidize. Well, might as well get a packet of frozen or instant meal. 3. Presentation and portion overall pathetic and lacking. No need to be top notch, but at least presentable. 4. Soup lack of depth and authenticity. Like mass produce soup stock. Too much pepper added. 5. Sauce, ok lah. So so. Time to revamp and have a new improved version to fit current target market, instead of fading into the past. Guess, after the founder pass away, the stall being managed and take over by people lack of passion for food. Lacking in both fresh ingredients , taste, presentation, etc. Basically, a passion for food, a love that drive a simple hawker food to excellency. Each food and chef have their unique take food, but here, is industrial production low quality food for an old branded name sake, at a premium cost. Sad. Very sad. Basically, the food doesn’t taste hand made, but poor quality machine made. Even I, as a lay man, with the same ingredients , able challenge them in a cook off, and did way much better. .. ??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️… sad sad. seeing how they prepare and present food is disheartening.

Went on a Friday lunchtime. No crowd. Lots seating area. The wonton noodles here are different from those else where. They are springy and firm but can be a bit tasteless and bland. Need to mix well with the seasoning. Personally I just dun like these types of chewy noodles taste and texture. Taste a bit too undercooked n raw to me. My friend likes them though. The soups can be a bit too peppery. The char siew are a bit lean and dry, nothing memorable. Each bowls included 2 small fried wontons and 2 boiled wontons. The fried wontons are a bit soggy from the seasoning sauce. Not crispy at all. Also ordered the fried meat balls for take away. 9 meatballs per order. Quality decent crispy but a bit dry. The tables are imprinted some of their news features in the media.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I think their wanton noodles are good. Noodle texture is great & they don't clump together. The sauce used is fragrant, savoury & not too salty. Ingredients are good too - their wantons are well filled with meat & are really tasty. Char siew slices are rather thick. My only gripe is the meatballs are kinda dry & their soup is very bland. Parking is also very limited here. Apart from that, all's good! The icing on top of it all is their friendly & prompt service ?? the server lady was smiley & strike up a conversation with me?? Will eat here again when nearby??
