Not a very good tuition centre with young, inexperienced teachers who have mediocre qualifications. Would be an okay centre except it charges unacceptably high fees for what is an average service/product at best, plus treats its paying customers badly. Stay away.

Marianne March: Did you send your child there in Lower Primary? I presume so. TLL is suitable for Upper Primary students as they can process the knowledge better than Lower Primary kids. The most suitable time to join is from mid P4 to mid P5.

Stay away! I'm a mum of 2 primary school going boys lured in by the crowd but like they say, always go contrary! DO NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD! A few reasons: 1. HIgh fees and they even charge you for lessons that they do not conduct on public holidays! No make-up lessons but they will provide materials that's all. Each lesson cost over $90 from K1 all the way up to Pri sch! 2. Teachers are mediocre and they do not even tell you the teacher's background. Their standard answer is that the teachers are in-house trained before they teach in any of the classes at the centre. You will only know if you asked teachers personally their background. Google "glassdoor" and you will see what ex-staff say about The Learning Lab. 3. Admin, reception staff are incompetent. Emails and voicemails left behind all go ignored for days. Once when I made a complaint about being charged for public holidays, they told me if I was unhappy I can pull out because there are lots of students on the waitlist. 4. Most of all, I had pulled out after 2 terms due to incompetent and frequent changes of teachers. Within 2 terms, there were already 4-5 different teachers! 5. I was given wrong information about the end date of the term by a receptionist and turned up at the 1st lesson of a new term thinking it was the last lesson of the previous term as had been communicated by a receptionist and guess what? They pulled my boys out halfway through that class and called me to get me pick them up while I was busy at work 4pm on a weekday! There is no grace to allow the children to complete just that one lesson since it was their fault to start with. And because I was already cheesed off from mediocre teaching, I had decided to withdraw giving 2 weeks notice stating valid reasons. Despite all, deposit of close to $200 was not returned to me once again proving they are but another mercenary company, too clever with marketing tactics. Save your hard-earned bucks and go elsewhere! There are just too many other good teachers around running their own smaller outfits but not failing to deliver. Not one bit. Have a great day, readers! All the best!

my kids have been taking classes at the LL Rochester outlet for 2 years now, very convenient and i get to avoid the traffic at United Square. They like their teachers so much and can't wait for class each time. I have seen their grades improve, no complaints.

Me too. Waiting for my son to end his Math class now. Been waiting for Fri evening and Sun afternoon slots for 6 months. My son got all his classes quite quickly, but they are all on weekdays. Quite inconvenient but no choice, I did see a jump in his grades, so I'm happy so far. Materials are challenging, and teachers have been quite on top of things so far. Honestly, I don't have much time to supervise his work, i leave all to TLL

I want to thank David from The Learning Lab for accomodating my request to my kids for Science classes@ united square. I had a negative service experience from another enrichment centre coming from a programme director although they do have good teachers and physical infrastructure. However, the culture seems to be harvesting negative spirit. The Learning Lab provides swift and fuss-free services. They recommended me to pick up the fastrack curriculum specially designed for kids from certain schools. It is worth paying every single cent for the excellent service and the great teachers from TLL. This is my 3rd year with TLL in two other subjects. I have decided to park another Science subject with them as well. The flexibility and the various locations of the centres to help the child in make up classes are definitely a plus point to subscribe to them. They go beyond the extra mile even if the child could not make it within the week of lesson plan for replacement class. Special arrangement will be made to ensure the child's competency is caught up. There were so much empathy and understanding in conversation with your TLL staff. I certainly appreciate that. So far, TLL service staff and teachers are definitely well trained. They display high interest in providing service excellence. For the cost I am paying at other centres, TLL is a remarkable choice. Ms Adeline from Rochester is a very committed Math teacher. My son's score has always been in the above 85 scoring range. He was below average before we met Ms Adeline. With that, thank you guys for taking care of us.

My two kids, one in Primary 5 and the other Primary 2, have been taking English and Math classes at TLL for close to 2 years, and I have seen their grades improve by quite a lot. Well, my kids actually look forward to going for their classes every week, so I have no complaints. My elder girl, especially, loves her teachers, and forces me to bring her early for her classes. Only thing is I've been waiting for weekend classes for quite a while, as they are currently on weekdays which is not the best for me.

Learning is definitely an overrated tuition centre! They do not replace class fall on public holidays yet they continue to charge you the tuition fees. one of her class fall on 25/12 /2021, no replace class, no refund of money. They suddenly increased cost fees from $1400 + to $1600+ per semester (13 lessons) without informing the parents. We found out when we went paying the tuition fees. when we asked for an explanation, the staff told us the school improve their facilities. What kind of facilities they have improved? during this pandemic, the kids are hardly in the tuition centre, most of the time they are zooming in, they are not even benefiting from any facilities. With zoom tuitions, the kids cannot get teacher's correction and attention promptly.
