★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taste can sometimes evoke memories or bring me back in time. This noodle transported me back to a time when a Rolex wearing man was famous for this same dish. It's harder now to find passable hokkien mee, many (even famous ones) are just not worth the hype or the calories. Thankfully, this place exists. Squid is small and thin, prawns are ok sized, but undoubtedly the noodle and sauce is the superstar. Even though I had take-away, it was still delicious. ♥️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the flavour. Can taste the wok hey. Nicely cooked noodles with a good amount of gravy. Small bits of pork and egg. Chili enhances the taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chef is young BUT he is so skillful. The nice wokhei and ? is solid.. am glad to try their HKM. I like it the soupy version.
The pork lard is crunchy and they provide many ingredients for my $5 order.. definitely worth it.. I will come back for more.. simply love it
My empty plate says it all

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the normal hokkien mee $4.50.
I'm quite happy to stumble onto this stall, the hokkien mee is quite nice, has that 'breath of fire' and well balanced seafood flavour.
It's the slimy and not watery version, pardon my lack of vocabulary haha!
Overall I quite enjoyed it, would highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After reading some of the review here. I decided to try it out. True enough, the Hokkien Mee standard is indeed above average. Watery version and tasty. And there was no queue. Hidden gem unknown to many for the moment. Strongly recommend anyone to come and try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the better Hokkien Mee in the west side of Singapore.
There is a definite wok hei in every plate.
This is a semi moist type of hokkien mee which is great as the sauce adds to the flavor!
The generous pork lard adds to the crunch with every bite releasing the flavor with every mouthful of noodles.
Can ask the boss for extra pork lard !
The prawn was not as good though but overall definitely try this !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Consistent style of frying and presentation to its sister outlet.
The noodles are well fried with its crustacean stock evident. Prawns are fresh and the egg wash was perfectly executed.
The lard is thin and long rather than cube size which I like. Sambal is spicy with hint of zest.
The gentleman is polite but the lady seemed to have a bad day as she does not respond with request.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far one of the best and MOST wok-hei Hokkien Mee I have tried for the year! Already bookmarked NeighbourWok a while back, and finally got to try it for myself. If you like the wetter version of HKM, you'll love its gooey and gloopy texture!
For a $4.50 portion, the portion is quite generous! Prawns & squid slices are fresh. Strong wok hei notes with the rich seafood flavours from the stock coming through. While the deep-fried lard bits are thinner, they have a satisfying crunch and add a lardy fragrance to the already umami-packed noodles. The fiery & tangy sambal belachan and the lime makes everything even better.
