There are egg shells in the laska ? Bite a few hard bites that look like egg shell. Taste of laska is pretty decent. Not spicy at all. I like their curry chicken too.

$7.20 for this plate of chicken cutlet rice. Could opt for Chap Chye or Achar for the sides. Not really worth it for the price point as it tastes very normal. The rice they used was the chicken riceโ€™s rice but itโ€™s okay as well. The only plus point for ordering it here compared to the hawker food just a stone throw away is because thereโ€™s aircon. Donโ€™t know if I will try again.

I like to visit this stall to have a quick bite when Iโ€™m in Chinatown. The stall serves the soupy Katong laksa that is usually eaten with a spoon. The gravy is pretty good and has a nice balance of the coconut lemak and the curry. The dish is a slightly more on the expensive side (itโ€™s just laksa ya) but itโ€™s great to have a taste of old school soupy laksa which is harder to find nowadays

Already know the outlet at Queensway is very nice. So was pleasantly surprised that the food served here was slightly different and somehow better tasting! Plentiful seats, pleasant staff. The laksa gravy was really nice, flavours delicate. The otah was superb. $8.90 for the lunch set in the heart of town is great value!

Watery and tasteless laksa. The price point is so high which doesn't worth it. I ordered Laksa, Chicken cutlet rice set with Lime Juice. The laksa was so diluted and watery, no taste. The chicken cutlet rice curry is tasteless, chap cai has not taste and fragrance. Lime Juice were so diluted that I can only taste sourness. Very disappointed with the food that I have to go somewhere else have my dinner. I spent $17.80 for 2 dishes which I can get the same a stone thrown away at Chinatown hawker centre.

Tried this to my surprise doesn't taste as nice as Queensway. Laksa gravy seem to have water paraded and so watery lack of taste. Curry chicken as well not the thick kind used to see.

Take the blue / purple MRT to alight at Chinatown and walk towards Chinatown Point. They are located at basement 1, a stall right in front of Genki Sushi restaurant. There are several brands that call themselves Original Katong Laksa but Janggut Laksa is the brand I have visited at their triangular eatery located at level 1 of Queensway Shopping Centre. This outlet has a slightly different taste and flavor compared to their other outlets but it's still good when I visited. Staff here are friendly and efficient. They only serve thick bee hoon for their Laksa and they kept the tradition of eating their Laksa with just a spoon. You can choose from a regular sized bowl of Laksa or a large sized option. Everything is made to fit into your spoon nicely, from their thick bee hoon, the sliced rectangular fish cakes to the half prawns, you can easily pick up a spoonful of flavorful Laksa and move it towards your mouth to start chomping down. They do serve curry chicken with rice, other street food like muah chee and otah just like what they have at Queensway Shopping Centre. You should drop by to try the taste of these nostalgic food.
