Nine Fresh Desserts Taiwan (Chinatown Point)

My all-time favourite dessert!! This dessert originated from Jiu Fen, Taiwan and is known as 芋圓湯 (yam ball soup?). I am so glad that the Singaporean owners of Nine Fresh had brought the flavours back to Singapore so that we can enjoy it here! You can choose from a choice of mixed grass jelly, soya bean curd, and aiyu jelly. I like the chewy toppings and milk that comes with it.

Good friendly service. Staff knows their products well. As usual the desserts served are yummy. Liked them with the bean toppings.

First of all, their desserts are tasty and have a good variety of flavours. I am a regular customer for quite afew years and usually buy it weekly. However, as Singapore transitions to a digital economy, Ninefresh is the only shop in many shopping malls which only accepts cash payment. They do not accept nets, visa, master or any form of e- payment such as paynow, paylah etc. sometimes their own cashier also runs out of small change for customers. Not sure if the management has mistrust for e- payment system or very unwilling to pay for a e- payment system? Additionally , they increased the prices for each dessert on their menu by $0.1. However , their rewards card before and after the $0.1 price increase still has the same value of rewards for stamps accumulated . For example, before the price increase in their menu, five stamps can allow a customer to redeem any item on the menu which is $2.9 worth or below. However, after they increased all items on their menu by $0.1, the rewards card still remains the same and only allows customers to redeem $2.9 worth of item, when most of the item is $3.0 and above. Most of the customers who use the rewards card are regular customers, not sure if ninefresh really benefits and gains large profit for themselves by saving $0.1 worth of desserts and not getting an e-payment system?

Ordered taro cup over the counter @Chinatownpoint n the staff usually would scoop the ingredients from the containers. But this time around I got a readymade one when she opened the refrigerator beside the cash counter. The ingredients inside the cup given me did not look fresh n were very chilled. I had a bloated tummy after eating.

Dessert with decent price and portions. Their grass jelly is smooth and sweetless. Kind of a healthy choice of dessert. They provided a coffee creamer to add to it, don't, it tasted weird with the creamer. Their drinks, especially the Earl Grey milk tea is really bad, too sweet and with a very weird taste. Will come back for dessert but not tea drinks.

For a stall in a MALL this day and age - they only accept cash and shopback go as payments - no paynow, no other alternative payment methods. Forced to download shopback go in the end as I didn’t have any atm card. Love the desserts but this is ridiculous - will think twice again before buying in future. Management please do something about it!

Objectively, it's a good value for money because it's really cheap. I prefer black ball but that one's kinda more sweet. I would go for nine fresh because for their matcha beancurd which is interesting and also be tasted good for me. The chewy toppings are my favorite. Downside is that they don't have sitting areas, just standing tables. I would go back for quick dessert fix next time.

A picture says a thousand words. Love this brand of their various desserts. Reasonable price and nice to eat. Wipe clean everything in my bowl. Just abit disappointed that they didn’t design a sitting high stool for the tables provided at this location. Else it will be more popular with more buyers.
