The Southbridge Hotel Restaurant and Whiskey Bar - 210 South Bridge Rd

8 years in Singapore. First time encounter such a rubbish service. Store an Auchentoshan (which is their signature brand) on 19 March, then came back yesterday. They couldn’t find the Bottle, and start to question the guest. We provide the receipt of 19th, and the waitress says Auchentoshan is gin tonic (which was ordered as first round). I couldn’t believe this is Singapore service standard. The waitress should be fired immediately.

Not homemade food. Already prepared and just warn once you have ordered. How i know that ? Try to change or remove 1 ingrédient from the menu, and they tell you that it is not possible. Ravioli were served in less than 5 minutes chrono in a jugé bowl of sauce and not tasty at all. I ate them because i was starving and because i had to pay 24$ for a small portion. Not worst it at all Oh by the way, if you pay by cash, don't hesitate to count the exchange. Sometimes, some dollar can miss..

Crowded place during wkends. Reservation is a must. Food is average, nothing special. Music is too loud to allow patrons have a leisure coversation. Hate it. Staff is unattentive when taking orders. Kept having missing orders on 3 occassions in one night! Not a place for family or children.

The worst service I have ever encountered. Ordered double choc fudge cake and sea salt caramel cake. The double choc cake tasted a little sour. Alright we thought they are not a "dessert" place anyway but more of a drinking place. Ordered an Irish ale, Belgian Wit and Margarita. The Belgian Wit was a meh. But Margarita was horrible. No salt rim, the drink was overflowing apparently due to the mountain of ice, and the drink tasted like a non-alcoholic drink. The staff did not even bother wiping the table or provide tissues to wipe. When we approach the staff to get an exchange on the margarita and pointed out the problem, I could see from my table that the young waiter was told off by a seemingly senior female waitress and a guy who seems to be the owner. So the poor young guy came back with the same drink holding a shot of tequila and said they can't change it. ?? How would the drink even be the same when you pour the tequila and the ratio of the concoction is gone. It is perhaps ok for the restaurant to wave off one fussy customer like me but there will be others like me and I wish your restaurant the best. No service charge does not equate to zero to little service.

I am satisfied with services provided by South Bridge hotel. They provide wide range of amenities. The room is clean and staffs are helpful too. The location is amazing. We can easily access to MRT station and bus stops. This hotel is together with a bar. Their tapas was nice. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. I really liked this hotel.

This is actually quite good value in a city full of expensive accommodation. It comes across as an odd mix between a capsule and a boutique hotel, with tiny (mine had no window) but quite stylish rooms in an excellent location in Chinatown. Don't bother with the bar though - very expensive, and the soundtrack is terrible 80s stadium rock.

My stay was short I forgot to take photos. The room was decent, enough to rest comfortably and wash. Not my best stay in Singapore, although I don't stay in a lot. The location is prime though, basically near everything I went to, easy to walk around and find food in every corner. The open bar downstairs is a bit overly branded (whisky brand), sorry I might be biased. Some weird noises early in the morning and fire alarm but I guess I was just not lucky.

Food on 25% promotion this month but when I get the waiter to check if I am a member they just charge the non-member fee. I was expecting a on-the-spot-become-member for the discount. This didn't happen. Well.. just a mere $10 discount. However, I will head to Wine Mansion the next time.
