Food is good but its very smoky where we sat. Rstn need to look into better exhaust system for better customer experience. Asked to change seats but rejected. Clothes n hair smelled of smoke when we left. About $55 per pax.

It was our first time there for our friend's hen party dinner and we had a lot of fun. Nurul was very welcoming, gave us options on which area was best to sit and guided us to our place. Naz was very friendly and we had fun talking and trading jokes with him. Chef Aidil and Chef Azhar made great food, our steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking. The surprise dessert at the end was the perfect end to the night. Thank you so much for making our night!

AMAZING!! From the attentive friendly staff, the relaxing atmosphere with acoustic music, to the mouthwatering fresh food, this place is absolutely phenomenal! Would absolutely rate it higher if I could! We will definitely be back before we leave and will forever remember the amazing experience we had here! Highly recommend!!

:::The Straits Teppanyaki::: Our group of 5 sat on the first level, outside the restaurant. Very cosy. But next time I will want to try to be seated upstairs at level 2, indoors. Looks even cosier. Food was very good. Owners are very friendly. •Salmon steak + spaghetti + Miso soup Nicely done, but wish this had more sauce. Skin was crispy and nice. •Wagyu steak + spaghetti Soft and tender, spaghetti was delicious! •Tortilla chips with cheese Yummsss. The best part of The Straits Teppanyaki is Level Two. A Halal Rooftop Bar!!!!!! :::Level Two::: Halal Rooftop ::: We had the best chocolate brownie + Ice cream in town. Really!! It was warm, melts in your mouth and very fudgy chocolatey. Perfect!! We also had •Churros + Icecream •Mexican chicken wings The food's awesome, the decor is modern + vintage. With fairy lights above, feels like dining under the stars!!

I went straight after buying food at bazar and by 8plus the place is quite empty. The food quality is excellent but if talks about whether nice or not, I would say 4-5 out of 10. There is not “wow” factor to live up with the standard the restaurant had created in social media. I would say it’s good for first date ?.

What a delicious lunch! The Straits Teppanyaki 100% Muslim Owned 16 Bussorah St We had lunch at The Straits Teppanyaki today, and we have absolutely no regrets! Every single item tasted good, service was fast and friendly and the ambience was nice and chill. We ordered: 200g striploin steak with miso soup and egg fried rice. The soup and beansprouts are included, egg fried rice was an additional $2. Wild mushroom tempura Homemade ice lemon tea The food arrived really fast. The chef cooked the meat and sprouts over on a teppanyaki stove top “live”. We could hear him but couldn’t see him directly as the seating in front of the chef was not available. The side dish, wild mushroom tempura, was flavourful. Portions were great - see photos for yourself. Last but not least, the homemade ice lemon tea was surprisingly delicious and refreshing. Overall, the lunch cost $100, but it included service charge, GST and some top ups (egg fried rice). Well worth it. Go try it if you’re looking for a great place to eat at! #notapaidpost

One of my best dinners. The wagyu is very soft and all of the food portions are just right. The drinks.. fabulous. ? overall ambience is amazing.

Came here to celebrate our dad’s birthday and it was a good choice! We chose a halal place because of my helper who is Muslim. The food was delicious, the ambience is nice and the service is excellent. I particularly liked the scallops and beef very much.
