★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing that this nondescript shophouse along Bukit Timah Road, the longest and oldest highway in Singapore, is ~ 120 years old, still standing and taking in customers!
Curiously, the age of the house would mean it was constructed before even the railway was opened in 1903. Was it built in anticipation of the increased traffic brought in by the introduction of the railway?
