★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is hot. Just opened a few days ago; everyone is going there. And ...the sweltering heat is sizzling. Our mistake is to go at noon, thinking that most people will avoid the heat.
This place, for once, was artfully and faithfully curated. You can practically smell nostalgia and the history in the air.
Devoid of gimmicky "attractions" and commercialism, a visit is worth your time ---- and it is free!
Besides the chance to waffle through a real-life railway station just as it was in 1932, you will find priceless remnants of our glorious colonial past.
Every signboard tells a story. Inside the 1932 café (air-conditioned), they have many articles and artifacts from the past - including a fully working Smith Corona mechanical typewriter as well as a telegraph. There is a Sansui amplifier system and 33rpm records. (See photos)There is even a surprisingly knowledgeable pinoy commentator in person.
The snacks are good and reasonably priced. But seats are few, and some people just sit there without ordering anything.
Oh yes, as a typical Singaporean, must add some advice: Maybe Cafe1932 should do away with the QR code ordering system and just have a person take orders and do seating. The station could hold night events like "Music under the Stars" or "Yarns of the Banyan Tree."
Students can serve as History Ambassadors as part of their Learning Journeys - explaining why the location of the dividing line between Singapura - Woodlands in front of the station?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 10 min from King Albert Park MRT, nearest car park would be KAP mall or Sime Darby Center. The area has very few sheltered areas so check the weather. Toilets located near the entrance. 1932 Cafe serves food and beverage but can get crowded. Great place for jogging and cycling ??♀️??♀️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's finally open after years? of restoration. The old KTM railway track has turned into a Greenway for joggers and cyclists and this is a great place to stop and have a rest. There's a cafe called 1932 Story which occupies the railway master's quarters and a lovely herb garden. Glad they retained almost all of the old architectural features of the buildings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a pity, it seems under renovation so we could not see inside. The walk is interesting and walking in on the railway was a good experience for my daughter. We can feel that time has passes since it has been last used. Then there is a pathway with railway a bit farther and inside the forest. Unfortunately it rained in the morning and the path was muddy. It was a bit dangerous for my daughter and we slipped and got all dirty.
The path in the forest is good if you're not afraid of getting dirty and walk on the mud like Peppa Pig family :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent path which runs along the old railway tracks. Section of the old tracks and bridge crossings were left in place for viewing. Majority of the path were either tarmac or stone slabs therefore flat and well drained even after a couple of days of heavy downfalls. One could pick up the track at various entrance/exits points. We started at Railway Mall with parking facilities. There are various eatery chain onsite for coffees or meals. No toilet facility along the track but one is never far from a food center or malls. Pedestrians and cyclists shared a path with signs clearly marked "Keep to the left" which work well. The greenery and Horticulture makes it a great place to reconnect with nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice quaint attraction, but somewhat overhyped. Expect to spend about 10-15 mins taking photos while viewing the various buildings, such as the staff quarters and the old control station. Feel that the restoration was overdone and the buildings looks too new (not period accurate as per the real age of the buildings). Note that the staff quarters appears to have been turned into a cafe; and the food on sale appears to be rather decent with a mix of local and western food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally I get to check out parts of this place. Recommend to start earlier in the morning as it’s not shaded.
A beautiful place to explore with lots of greenery. Can’t see the station as it was barricaded up, but they did print a picture of the station on the boards.
