★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Toast Box chain is VERY popular in Singapore. It’s a quick tasty and very inexpensive breakfast. It only cost SG$6 for two strong brewed teas and one toast with jam and a slab of butter already on it. It looks like our Wonderbread (white crustless square) but has a better taste and texture.

tastes weird. I think they didn't toast the bread enough but then again, I went on the day before Chinese New Year, and maybe that's why the quality was crappier than usual.
However, the tea was a weird taste of weird, and one of the rare times I couldn't finish my drink.
Location is good, right outside mrt, amist MBFC area, so it's good for short meetings. Quite noisy though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never come across ruder staff in Singapore in the whole time living here. The place is dirty, not busy & the two staff members behind the counter (one male & one female) obviously prefer dealing with locals than expats. It was racist, unkind & uncalled for "service"

When in Singapore, you have to try this traditional Kaya Toast with just boiled eggs.
Crack the (very soft) eggs into a bowl and add some soy (and pepper if available) then dip your Kaya toast!
Awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to satisfy one's yearning for a local breakfast – kaya toast, kopi (coffee) and thé with condensed milk, milo dinosaur, etc. The fishbowl kitchen also allows guests to watch the making of the toast and drinks. The dining area is clean, open and airy.
