With a tinge of sadness and regret, I am writing this review to serve as a warning to others. I have been going to this establishment for 24 years, yes. I am that old. The truth of the events, lay somewhere in between my interpretation of the events and that of the owners of the establishment. The following, my account as it transpired. - I purchased 2 FA Italia rims from TongAik. - I purchase tyres from SIP online. - TongAik installed tyres onto their rims - One of the rims was warped. - After confirming that the FA Italia wheel was warp, they refuse to replace it, citing the possibility of damaging my SIP tyres. - I was then told to purchased a 3rd FA Italia rim to mount a new tyre. - I was told to take back my warp wheels and to sell on the internet , that the problem of the warp tyres was mine to settle on my own. - At no point , did establishment take accountability and ownership of dealing with FA Italia on the problem of the warp rims. The events of today, could have been prevented if a.) The wheels were not warped and of good quality b.) The establishment had inspected the warp wheels prior to installing my tyres. c.) account for their distributorship of the product and hold the distributor accountable and not the customer. I remain available, should they wish to contact me be accountable and responsible for the events that transpired. Till then, may this serve as a placeholder reminder for others.

Had a few encounters with this shop but never felt good. The auntie is very naggy and likes to blame other workshops (which is not very ethical). She always does quite a fair bit of hard selling so please use your own judgement. Gives off a vibe that they are not completely honest. However, they are very well stocked on Vespa parts so if you need anything Vespa related you probably can try this shop.

The uncle is a good and honest mechanic, but the lady boss who is his sister is the total opposition. She tends to exaggerate your bike issues and gives undue pressure in making you do additional services or replace some parts. The parts that she claim she got for you first hand, may actually be refurbish parts, so be warned. And her opinion on all other bike shops: they provide sub-standard services. Only Tong Aik is the “best”

Very friendly, sincere and straightforward lady owners and mechanic! For my first visit, my experience is good and pleasant =) spend their time to rectify the issue and explain me in detail.

One of the shop that I always visit while in Singapore. You can anything that you need for your Vespa here. Aunty is quite friendly too

I have been overcharged twice by this place. For the first time, I wanted to fixed one side mirror but after i left my bike, the shop spoiled the other mirror. End up charged me $400 without asking first. For the second time, I was quoted $300 for a IU bracket and a speedometer but was later charged $340 without prior notification. When I voiced out my displeasure to the aunty, she started degrading the workmanship of the initial installation of the IU unit, blaming it on the "previous workshop". The funny thing is that the workmanship was also previously done by Tong Aik's mechanic. Although i reluctantly still paid for the unjustified price, I told myself that this is not a shop i would return ever again. Please take note of this.

Come at your own risk! Came here for a tyre change, Engine oil and Oil filter. To my regret I got charged $200 for a pair of Taiwanese tyres which I self skidded on the week after as the wax still did not wear off despite the mileage they claimed that would be needed to wear it in. The week after I went to ahboys and was only charged $150 for a pair of MICHELINS including installation ( for comparison) I was also charged 1.5 bottles of engine oil @ $45 instead of 1 bottle and $18 for the oil filter. PLUS EXTRA WORKMANSHIP FEE OF $20 Not sure if this is normal but haven’t incurred this cost at other shops. Usual cost: $40-$60 Tong aik: $83 For reference I rode an LX150 at the time Aunty will also talk down about other Vespa workshops which I have personally had a better experience with.

Front desk aunty has drink too much Red Bull and coffee. But all the time nice with her sister. Oncle Mechanic, it's just a great mechanic. I had some issues but all the time the team has helped me. The most iconic support is where i was fighting with sporting motors to change a part under warranty. Uncle has called them in my behalf. Just a great experience!
