Thinned my hair until the roots , totally wrong method of thinning with the haircut , i was going for .. never ever going back again, now my side part is ruined by a untrained and unprofessional “stylist”.

I just got my hair cut at Trench Hairworks and I had to write this review as I walked out of the salon extremely angry and upset. From the very start I felt like they weren't listening to what I wanted, I even showed them a picture and demonstrated with my hands as to how much I wanted cut off but as I feared they just started cutting my hair and didn't really listen. I HAD very long hair and they cut much more than I requested on both the layers and the bottom and now my hair is very uneven with stray longer bits which does not look very nice. I was so angry as I cannot just put that hair back on my head. Even after I told him they were cutting too much off he just pulled a face got cranky and just kept cutting. I now have to go to another hairdresser to get my hair fixed to some sort of decent haircut. Other people have written good reviews however my experience is I have walked out of the salon with much much shorter hair than I wanted and asked for and that is very uneven and looks like a mess. When I complained the owner tried to justify it by saying they were following the layers from my last hair cut but but the layers on my last hair cut were nowhere near as short. (She also spoke to him when I was complaining halfway through the cut (I am a foreigner so could not understand what they were saying). Then they also tried to say they followed the picture, but again I showed them the picture and told them how much I wanted cut off but again they don't seem to want to listen to what the customer wants. Even when she said he only cut off an inch I picked up a clump of hair from the floor proving how much it was and the owner was still trying to make excuses and lies. The only positive thing I can say is they were really gentle when cutting and brushing my hair.
