A thumbs up for the high tea set with sandwich that has beef,the black tea and the cakes display in thee trolley a must to try.

β β β β β There are 2 outlets in MBS and Iβm ref to the one with indoor seating (closer to the MRT station). Pretty crowded with the high tea crowd but we still got a seat instantly. Service was great when we stepped in but was ruined by the lady who took our order. I wouldβve given this place 4 stars but took one down due to this. We came in a group of 3. Weβve never sat down for food there before and usually just take away chocs and ice cream. So it was our first time ordering off the menu. Was a little confused regarding some of the choices on the menu as you could select options for some of the dishes. Instead of explaining them to us, she looked impatient and started getting frustrated. I understand it was a busy afternoon but wouldβve appreciated if sheβd been patient enough to explain. Questions we asked were not ridiculous. The way she answered also made me feel a little small. Like I couldnβt understand a simple menu? Food and drinks were good though and the rest of the staff were nice.

β β β β β Went for late lunch at about 1 plus on a weekend and the wait was not too long. Ordered codfish dish, mushroom soup, eternal summer tea and Darjeeling tea, and a $40 tea time set. I loved the codfish dish :) and the wonderful background music. The food was surprisingly filling for 2 people and the straw was glass

β β β β β Thus is a lovely place with great ambience, good food and wide tea selection. Unfortunately my most recent visit was a disappointment.
We were 5 pax and was given a table for 4 with an additional seat by the side. The table was too small for the amount of food we were planning to order. Sadly, instead of moving us to a larger table for 6, they choose to allocate that table to 3 pax. This was after we told the staff twice that the table was too small for us.
Even after a manager on duty said they will move us to a larger table when one is available, that was not followed through. Do not tell your customer something you have no intention of fulfilling.
Picture attached was taken after we requested for most of the spreads to be removed in order to fit the main courses.

β β β β β Excellent ambience, and great food overall. Fantastic place to go for lunch, and a really good place to sip tea, relax, and people watch. There's almost always a queue here, but it's generally worth a short wait. Surprisingly, food is very good here and there tends to be some tea infused into their cooking, which makes for a very unique dish.
