Dear Aloysius, thanks for writing and sharing your thoughts about the move. Congratulations and best wishes for a great start at the new stall (same food market)! I'm a supporter and fan of your dad's stall. The 萝卜糕 (chai tao kueh) is absolutely one of the best that I have eaten since I was kid growing up near Henderson Sec School area. Its great for breakfast and supper or really anytime time of the day. My office work team has tried it before over team breakfast and they liked it too.

Here's my bro Amos. ? He helps out at his family stall on Saturdays. (His brother helps on Sundays!) I was admittedly first fascinated by the name of this stall. (What is goreng lontong??? It's carrot cake lah!) but was then super happy to find this treasure. Its taste is unique (black version) and the eggs in it (oh yes please!!!) is generous ($4)! It's become my family's fav carrot cake in Singapore. ??? (Part of it is maybe it's just so awesome to meet nice and really honest and good folks working as a family together. They gave great energy and great vibes. Would make great friends these guys. ?Great inspiration for me to see them on the weekends whenever I drop by after my runs.) ?? (Ps. boss uncle says go for the black if you are undecided!)(Ps also. Amos is a super smart guy who started his first job a few months ago. Got to respect him - and their family values! - for still faithfully coming here on Saturdays to help mum and dad ?).

Hands down the best carrot cake in Singapore. Me and my family have been regular customers for more than 10 years. The uncle used to cook in the morning and afternoon for Bukit Merah View Carrot Cake but now opens his own stall at another corner of the same Hawker Centre. I am not good at describing taste but I am a picky eater and this is one of those stalls that I keep going back to. The uncle has won many awards and recommendations although not displayed at his new stall. They close at 2pm, but the uncle always keeps extra packets that are still warm for latecomers. The father, son and mother are always nice to talk to and friendly. Do come down to support them! REMEMBER THE SIGNBOARD IS UNFORGETTABLE CARROT CAKE!!

Unlike some of the earlier reviews, we are not customer more than 10 years. hahaha. We discovered this shop in the middle of COVID-19. This is the best Chye Tow Kuey we have eaten! The stallowners also super friendly and generous. We were worried for a while as their business didn't seem so good but looks like now they are getting the customers they deserve. The handmade Chye Tow Kuey is soft on the inside, yet crispy on the outside. Amount of dark sauce also just nice. And you can even ask for more "qia" if you want. Must come and try!!

This is really excellent and I came here with high expectations. Tried both white and black versions, please note they don’t offer mix/yuanyang. Black version seems really popular with the patrons. I don’t mind either. White is crispy and eggy and black is clearly sweeter and goes well with chilli with charred bits

Carrot cake is very soft and tasty. The dark sauce is not too over powering with nice wok hei. Well balanced plate of black fried carrot cake.

best carrot cake I’ve had! i love how it has so much crispy bits, and the carrot cake itself was slightly chewy too. I don’t usually eat carrot cake because they tend to be too oily and boring for me, but I devoured this in an instant! There was so much egg, it wasn’t too sweet, and the crispy bits really introduced another dimension to the overall taste of the dish Will definitely be back!! Appreciate the quick and efficient service too Edit: went back to try the white carrot cake. I think the black version wins hands down!

Tried this about two months ago. This is definitely the worst carrot cake that I have tried so far. The carrot cakes were mushy but yet, amazingly, a large chunk of it was overcooked until so hard that it became inedible. It seems like it was removed from the freezer, reheated and then added with some fried eggs. Really 忘不了 but not in a good way. One star because the auntie called me ‘shuai ge’ and for wearing her mask properly.
