★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Volunteered at United Medicare last month with my friends and the staff there are bubbly and friendly. I see that the nursing staff were attentive to the residents and I really had a meaningful time volunteering there with my friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst nursing home. My father discharged fm nuh n admitted on 10 March n discharged at 25 March to nuh again. Super humid as all the ceiling fans were located at the common corridor away fm the bed. Many other patients including my father had to resort to bringing our own fan. Later that day, I visited him. His whole body was wet and the staff nurse was kind enough to change his shirt. Environment was also super lousy. Regard for my first move to place my father in udmc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place can get very humid during the day. As it's located in an old school , environment wise it's pretty run down. However the friendly cheerful nurses make up for the lack of amenities. I must add the social work Ms Tan Hui Yi does an excellent job on follow up and is very proactive.

For the past years of my visit to the home, I have personally witnessed and experienced the warmth and care exhibited by the staff. Everyone is well equipped with skills that are medically and emotionally beneficial to residents.
They worked tirelessly to providing the essential needs to create a conducive environment for the people to live happily. They adopt a more holistic approach like having daily exercise classes and occasional parties to celebrate various occasions.
The authority also organizes arts and crafts classes to actively engage the residents during their free time. Outings to parks and gardens are quite popular as well.
Looking back, I am very fortunate to have found United Medicare Center at Queensway; a place where my sister called a Home.
