Waited more than one hour & there was no one in the q before me! UOB really don't need our biz.

For god sake, please do review the efficiency of the staff at the branch. I went down to the branch with all the necessary supporting documents to settle estate matters, but I was told to come back another day upon approval of my request. May I know what’s is there to approve? Do I not have the authority to close the account whenever I want with all the legal documents that I got from the court? Maybe standard protocol JUST IN UOB? Let me praise you on that. What’s next was even worst. When I finally got the PERMISSION for my request and told the staff the date and time that I will be going down, I didn’t expected to be a long whole hour of waiting… They even call me before hand to check if I am coming down. That’s really nice. This is where the nightmare begins. Went down to the branch, told the assisting staff of my situation and she gave me a Q-ticket and told me to wait despite knowing that I have book the appointment upfront. But oh well, I just wait my turn to see the counter staff since my problem isn’t a complex issue which I am sure any counter staff is capable of handling the closure of account. And so, when it’s finally my turn , I explain to the staff about my problem and they told me only the specific staff that handle my request would be able to help. At this point ,I was full of doubt as I waited for almost 15 min just to get a reply saying that only that ONE STAFF is able to help me. However, that SPECIFIC STAFF was engaging with this couple since the moment I entered the branch and I thought that they should be finishing soon so when they told me to wait for her, I said okay. However, I didn’t imagine this wait lasted for a solid 40min. I did not want to be rude but I straight up told the counter staff that anyone is CAPABLE to handle my problem, only then the counter staff, whom initially told me that to wait for that ONE & ONLY capable staff, started to settle my problem as she knew that I was here since 40mins ago excluding the 15min wait after I took the Q number. And finally my problem is being resolve which took some time again as they are busy closing the bank, you should know by now how long I have waited to the point that they are in the mist of closing the cash balance at the counter. But I did not say anything about it as I know this isn’t a easy task and everyone wants to leave work on time HOWEVER when the staff told me to wait again to get the signature from the lady who is in charge, but this time round I asked her how long do I have to wait again with my annoyed face. I am sure at this point she knew that I am super frustrated so she personally went into the other room to tell the officer in charge to sign .If I did not voice up again, who knew I would have wait and leave with all the staff in the branch as though I was working there…

This branch is usually crowded but the staff that I have met are friendly and able to help with my requests on the 3 separate occasions I visited. Special thanks to Yvonne Sng for making sure everything is in order!

12:34 received queue number. Was informed 8 customers waiting in front. Went buy something and returned with shocked. The queue ahead was still 8 ahead. Realised 6 counters, only 2 people servicing. Waited for more than 30min then the queue number moved. Finally called me 13:26. Horrible service just to replace a faulty atm card. Left the bank 13.32. Just 2min from 1 hour.
