A far cry from lana's chocolate cake. The cake fudge is salty. That alone makes it different and to me so much less delicious. When you cut the cake the one I bought was messy inside. It had a lot of holes caused by air bubbles. The fudge was also not evenly applied. Will not buy it again. If you are a long time Lana cake lover , you likely will not like it as much as lana's version.

Chocolate cake is not fragrant and has an eggy after taste. We asked if they could write a simple β€œhappy birthday” on the cake and was told that they don’t provide this service for 800g and would only do it if we buy the 1kg cake. I’m sure the 800g cake has ample amount of space. Terrible service and subpar cake. Travel to Choc a bloc instead, beats this and Lana hands down!

Was around in the area and saw an article about Lana's & Vicky's. Since Lana don't sell slices, I opted to try Vicky's instead. Greeted by a very nice lady and bought a slice of their Signature Chocolate Fudge and Lamington each. I am not a big fan of chocolate cakes as they tend to be very sweet and pastey, sticking to the area of your mouth and then you need water to wash it down. To my surprise, I really enjoy Vicky's cakes, their chocolate is not too sweet and not sticky as well, more like chocolate jelly layered in between the soft and fluffy chiffon/butter cake. I enjoyed it very much actually. If you don't prefer eating something full of chocolate, maybe get their Lamington as you still get to taste their fudge that covers the outer layer of the Lamington with shredded coconut. Inside is the original (vanilla maybe) soft fluffy chiffon/butter cake. Still nice but I would go for the fudge hands down. Finally a chocolate cake that I can finish without downing water to wash away the overly sweet and artificial taste. 5 ?!!!

honestly, they need to fire the lady working at the store. she's cold, never smiles, and is so haughty to the point that your desire to have the cake is diminished. I asked for the slice of cake from the other corner, and she told me they "have to go in sequence". what's the difference between taking the slice from the other extreme side versus the side closest to her? they're both corner pieces, but I wanted the slice that had fudge on both sides. what's wrong with that? as someone who regularly buys cakes from them, the experience with her has convinced me to move my patronage back to Lana again. it doesn't help that each slice is $8 and we're in the neighbourhood. awful.

They don't provide utensils when you buy cake from them. When you asked for utensil, they will give you a spoon instead of fork. Not a problem to me but the lady who was serving me seemed unhappy when I asked for it, which I think her attitude was very unnecessary. Anyway, in my option I think that their signature chocolate cake taste is super bland, it's not worth buying at $8. For this price you can go for Rive Gauche or top up abit more for Lady M for better quality cake. Not worth traveling down to buy it

Bought a chocolate fudge cake at Bukit Timah Plaza. Asked to take a look at their cakes as all their cakes are in a sealed box kept in the fridge. None was displayed on the glass shelf. The middle aged female staff replied coldly, "All our cakes are the same". Home, opened the box, found a shoddy cake with 3 iron press-like on the frosting. Which you can see in the picture. I don't know how you can bring yourself to sell this kind of cake to customers. The appearance of this cake looks far worse than the cakes selling in supermarkets and cake shops below HDB. For the price of your cake, shouldn't you show more sincerity to your customers? Also, the cake has no chocolate taste or smell at all.

Delicious cakes for the cafΓ© hopper in me! Had the lamingtons and apple pie really recommend that you spring for the Apple pie, it was warm and moist, perfect with a nice cup of tea. Or coffee if you prefer, they have plenty of options.
