Good ambience and good food - @vivaloca_katong and Changi has both and to top it up they came up with a Live chaat counter where they are serving Indian Chats from Pani Puri to Samosa chaat. ?? Now chaat is more than a set of snacks for us Indians. It falls under the category of food that hits practically every element that makes something craveable—sweet, sour, tangy, spicy, and crunchy and can be enjoyed anytime. Balancing these five elements may not be a rocket science but also not every one's cup of tea as well. I have tried chaats in many restaurants in Singapore but what makes me coming back to this place is for the following reasons. ? They combine the five essential components of chaat to create an addictive mash-up of flavors and textures . ? I am always happy with their platters as they manage to keep the base crispy whether it is the samosa in the samosa chaat or papdi in the papdi chaat or even the puffed rice. ? The way they blend their sauces be it cilantro - mint chutney or tamarind chutney they add the right portion making it neither too spicy nor too tangy. ?Moreover the ambience is great and the crew members are a bunch of chilled out people. You can take an Indian out of India but can not take India out of an Indian. The Indian owner of this restaurant has very well placed Indian Chaats in their menu. ?? So this festive season if you are in a mood to treat your taste buds with sweet, sour, tangy ,spicy and crunchy taste of Indian Snacks do visit @vivaloca_katong. Fantastic ambience and amazing food. Service and attention to details is worth mentioning. Management was more than eager to ensure everyone was well looked after.

Order Details: Gol Gappas (Take away) Restaurant: Viva Loca (Changi City Point) Price: 12 $ for 8 Gol Gappas Date: 25 Mar 2022 Let’s start with placing the order to delivery, it took more than 20 mins to bring readymade Gol Gappas in a plastic box which was not even sealed packed. The way they sealed packed is by using the cling wrap that wrapped around the plastic box multiple times. Here comes the delivery and what is this, a plastic box having 8 Gol Gappas and other 2 small plastic containers wrapped in a cling wrap. Bigger box had 8 of them and smaller one which upon looking will appear like red and green chutney. When my friend (because of whom I order as he heard the name of restaurant and wants to order) looked inside the packing to find the spiced water (‘teekha paani’) which was not there, then I thought maybe they have put some ready-made powdery kind of thing which we need to mix in the water to make the actual spiced water. But guess what - nothing was there! When we checked with the staff, they looked inside the packing and told us that this the green container is the spiced water to put in Gol Gappas. (now in my mind I was thinking if they would have provided a dropper then it would be very convenient to divide that spiced water equally in all 8 Gol Gappas ) as that spiced water was not even sufficient to fill 2 whole Gol Gappas properly, whereas, they told us it was meant for all 8 Gol Gappas. They told us that they could provide 1 more such container. When I asked how these 2 small containers will be sufficient, they called their manager and who to our surprise asked the staff to get more spiced water which they claimed should be sufficient. Now when I reached home and opened the box and what do we see - 8 Gol Gappas (their appearance as though the Gol Gappas look to be not edible). Here’s the funny part – 4 out of 8 were soggy. Want to know why? When they put the Gol Gappas in the box, they filled them with mashed potato which made them soggy, which they could have provided in a separate container. Next, let’s talk about the alleged spiced water – it was salty, well, salty is an understatement, it was as salty as ocean water, if not worse. And the best part, the good one’s were also not that good in taste. So, a few queries…. 1. Delivery was like of a homemade order and not at all how a restaurant manages its deliveries. 3.Are these Gol Gappas made in-house or have they been ordered from someone and then you’ve just randomly put in front of customer? This review is for only this item only but given my first experience is not at all good so chances are high that I will not visit again.

really great experience, the decor is really pretty and the ambience is really nice. food tasted good, i also got the virgin pina colada which i loved, and service was really good considering we took a long time to decide but they were very understanding and friendly ? definitely would recommend ?

No complaints: 1. Reasonably priced - spent $44 for 2pax 2. Decent variety of food options 3. Great ambience and service - resembles like a quaint European town We ordered the chicken chimichanga and chicken quesadilla, both are really good! Quesadilla was too spicy for me, but the taste is amazing. Would definitely return for more!

Awesome food and service. Almost everything we ordered was delicious. The ambience was also great. The presentation of all dishes was spot on. Prices were nominal for the quality and quantity of food that was served. Can get crowded depending on the time of the day you visit.

Amazing food! Highly recommend the charred baby corn, pulled pork tacos, nachos, chicken quesadilla, chimichanga, prosciutto pizza, and beef burger! Warm and fantastic service by the 2 lovely ladies working there. The portions are large, tasty and definitely worth the price. Also my strawberry margarita tasted absolutely yummy and strong, so bonus points for that :) Beautifully done up interior, great for taking photos! Would definitely come back here anytime.

Appearance caught our attention and their menu looked interesting. Dropped in for drinks and definitely wasn’t disappointed! Ambience speaks volume , service was best. Food tasted yumm!!! It’s a whole package… We are sure to drop in next time to try their brunch. Surely recommend this place to friends..
