β β β β β Awesome and fresh sashimi. Value for money. Only spent $60+ for 2 pax!! Sashimi, tako wasabi and a spread of sushi with eel! Very friendly staff too!

β β β β β Slow and way overcooked yakitori even though service from the young lady is good.
Overpriced everything.
And when we told the older waitress it's overcooked she told us it's like this lol when the food was so dry and it wasn't our first time eating this dish.

β β β β β Japanese Izakaya restaurant especially focused Yakitori at Katong.
It looks like here is Japan.
We took Yakitori, Some pcs if sushi, and beer.
Yakitori is nice l, I enjoyed a lot.
Sushi is terrible but this is not kind of restaurant, ok.
Ingredients are fresh.
Service is also not bad, there was no Japanese staffs on the day but everyone has smile and good hospitality.
But one thing, Cockroach walking near us. I can understand they are in shop sometimes but I saw post passed time that some guests mentioned about it too.
Please do good pest control.
Hope I can visit again under nice hygiene environment.

Was really surprised to find out about this restaurant. Honestly, we weren't expecting much and this restaurant is tucked away in a corner that you probably would not notice. What a gem! Pork was fried to perfection - just nicely cooked and tender. Breading wasn't so thick either (looking at you, the one that rhymes with Mochi-Mo). Price is on the higher end but definitely worth it. Loved the aunty who served us too - she was so friendly and helpful.
Definitely would want to come back again. It's located at Level 1 next to Poke Theory.

β β β β β At first glance Yakitori Kotabuti, feels like a casual, spacious Japanese restaurant, due to its location at the back corner of a mall. But when you get the menu you realise the price range is going for a more high-end dining vibe. So we were expecting the food to match prices. Although the food was good, I canβt really say it matched our expectations. We went for a set menu with a few sides. The gyoza was crispy underneath but the filling was a little on the light side. The sushi was ok without leaving you wanting more. The potato salad was more mayonnaise-ey than tuna-ey. And finally the pork cutlet was crispy but the pork a little dry and missing that juicy fatty flavour it needed to make me want to come back for more. Overall we had a good meal, rather than great one, and we felt the food matched the mall ambiance rather than the price.
