★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a chance to try this stall as we were visiting the famous chicken rice stall in the same food court.
Impressive display especially when they topped the fried carrot cake with the preserves turnips. It was a good plate of carrot cake but I somehow think that I should have ordered the black and white version instead.

White carrot cake is thin and crispy.
Black carrot cake is sweet but not cloying.
Ordered second serving Black/White carrot cake (yuan yang).
Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best carrot cake I’ve tried. They gave a generous portion of ‘chay po’ and eggs. The dark sauce is a little too sweet, so I’ll ask them to put a little less next time. I haven’t tried the white version yet but from the look of it, seem nice and crispy. Katong Shopping Centre has quite a list of yummy food and I would add this carrot cake to my personal list of must have.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best white carrot cake so far for us.. crispy, fluffy and sufficiently spicy. Have eaten both during peak hours and when it just first opens for the day and standard remains the same ?? so good that we are having our 2nd plate within 20mins ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome carrot cake. Tried both black and white versions. Every bite is flavourful and filled with “wok hei”. Extra radish bits were a great touch that added texture. The external crispy outer layer of the white version made every bite even more enjoyable. I highly recommend you try it for yourself!

Will always make it a point to eat their white carrot cake when I'm in the area for work.The eggy parts are always so well cooked, fluffy in the middle and crispy around the edges! Not to mention, the store owners are really friendly as well! Always enjoy my experience eating or taking away from Wah Soon Kei, and will be coming back whenever I get the opportunity to! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth a try! We ordered carrot cake with prawn for takeaway. It's $6. It was good. It has a good portion as well. They have different kinds of carrot cake. They cook as you ordered so you know it's hot and fresh.
