Had the dried prawn mee with mee pok. As I came towards closing time, tau ghey was given instead of their usual Xiao Bai Cai. According to the owner, young people nowadays don’t like Kang kong. But I think it’s good to have at least some greens to give a fresh bite. The mee pok was really q, not clumped together like most other Bak Chor mee places. On top of that, it was drenched in lard for those who love flavourful food. Sambal was also homemade, cooked by the uncle himself, a touch of savoury not just spiciness. The slices of pork in this dish was succulent and tender, not your cardboard lean meat in many neighborhood prawn mees. I’d say the star is definitely the prawns and the broth. You can certainly tell the blood and sweat that took to make the broth, as with every scoop you taste the essence of prawn and pork, and the soup was delighfully gao. Prawn can tell was fresh and tender to bite, and the shell was easily removed. Though two pieces, but it was pretty big and came intact. Do hope more locals would know of this place. The owner of the stall has been making these culinary dishes for over 30 years, getting featured in newspapers at one point in time. Though originally from Airport Road, then at Amoy Street, it has recently moved to within Golden Mile. A must go destination for all prawn mee lovers, and I’d say definitely a good balance of quality and quantity here. Have yet to try the other dishes on the menu, but definitely the signature here is the prawn mee. Glad to see the hawker culture still alive in its own small ways. Truly 忘不了 (unforgettable) destination for all the right reasons.

Wow, finally found a hidden gem here at Golden Mile Tower #01-27. There is a very Special and Unique Prawn Noodles shop “忘不了传统大虾面”(Traditional taste) , they use Soft Bones instead of Pork Ribs and their Sliced Pork was tender (even no teeth people can eat). The dry version Mee pok cooked very well (just right not too soft) “QQ的”, the broth was flavourful. Highly recommended!

Omg so good!!! The soup is brothy but not too heavy, the pork ribs were perfectly seasoned. I love it! The bosses were really friendly too.

Small Stall in Golden Mile Tower itself. Light tasting soup . But they don't have big prawns, I would say just medium. Just normal fresh water small prawns.

Happened to step into the building and discovered the prawn noodle shop. Tabao dried and soup version home. The soup is fragrant and has the right umami taste. Dried yellow noodles still taste so good after eating one hour later. Loaded with lard and chilli got kick. Really happy to find a good prawn noodle in such ulu place. Please support the friendly stall owner. Support SG hawker. 虾面猪油四溢,汤头鲜美可口。支持新加坡小贩文化哦!

20 Jan 2022: Tucked away in Golden Mile Tower, this unassuming stall dishes out a hearty broth that hits all the right spots! One of the best dry bone and prawn mee noodles I’ve had in Singapore. I’d recommend having your noodles dry and soup on the side.

Was just walking around to explore this building which I have never step in before my entire life. On the hunt for pork liver soup and I just ordered. Rich soup but not overly heartily and herbal. Will try to prawn noodle next time round. By the way, good value for money $4.50.
