She is not friendly and non professional. The attitude she treat us like we didn’t pay for consultant fee, we forget to tell her we did check up at KKH last week, her response ‘you never tell me? Why never tell me? Only y’all know ley I don’t know, must tell me mah y’all also never tell the staff right blar blar blar...’ I got no idea why she get angry because of this?? consultant 10min she only answer ALL of my question ‘this is normal’ to end topic and wait for my next question, and she told me that ‘you can eat everything during pregnant’, as KKH senior consultant Dr.Han told me that don’t eat coconut and pineapple but she never remind me at all, i feel that she is lack of knowledge. I will never recommend this clinic to others. Take your own risk

This doctor asked me to go for a c-section on my week 36 because she was going on a vacation on my week 40. She stated financial reasons for me to go for a c section. All said she made the last few days of my pregnancy a nightmare. Another observation in my operation theater - the number of c-sections performed by Dr.Wem Lim was higher than other doctors in Mt.Alvernia.

I went there to get a Mirena IUD as I didn't want to get a copper IUD and the polyclinics that I called didn't have Mirena. On my first visit the doctor performed a Pap smear and STD test (required for IUD) and on the second visit she placed the IUD. She used an ultrasound to check placement. Everything went well and it's still there with no problems nearly 3 years later (my first Mirena, at a different clinic overseas, was placed without an ultrasound and it fell out after 1 year; they're supposed to last 5.) HOWEVER - I will not return in future because the doctor lied to me. On both visits she asked me if I wanted to get the HPV vaccine. I declined because I have personal reasons to think I will not need it (if you are sexually active with multiple partners or if your bf/hubby has other partners you are highly encouraged to get it). On the second visit she was more pushy and told me that "Once you become sexually active, HPV can fly through the air and infect you". Harlow? Did she not remember I told her I work with viruses for a living? That's one of the biggest pieces of nonsense I have ever heard about virus biology. tl;dr summary: Quality of care = good, accuracy of information = BAD.

Went for first appointment on 12-12-19. Really regreted after seeing her. Went to seek another gynae advise on 13-12-2019. Should have read the review before heading to Dr Lim Yuin Wen. She is not professional at all. Told us she will only conduct cesarean for my wife, if we want normal birth, go get another Gynae.

Very unprofessional service given by Dr. Wen lim, since the first visits, noticed her ungroomed appearance but didnt pay much attention to it. BUT I should have, subsequent visits show her inability to explain the situation to us clearly. Asked for a report from previous week but was replied with "how much I charged you last visit, and you want this and that? You want me to charge you more?" What kind of professionalism is this? My wife and I are already down and stressed from a complicated pregnancy but this is how a doctor should behave? Shame on her. You are pretty much better off at other clinics, visit at your own risk.

Treated my endometriosis with her 5 years ago. She did not clearly explain the implications for the procedure recommended. She also prescribed a hormone therapy which had very bad side effects. I felt very sick after the procedure and went to see her, only to be treated with total lack of empathy. Basically told me to google about menopause and that if my condition comes back if I don’t want to continue with the therapy, don’t blame her. When I decided not to continue and she got irritated and dismissive. When I consulted another gynae for 2nd opinion in Mt E, I found out that the procedure I went through was not the best first option and the hormone therapy prescribed had damaging short and long term effects. There are cheaper and safer alternatives which should take priority. As a result of the decision to follow her recommended procedure, I’m living with the consequences now. I am now going through menopause at the age of 42. Will never recommend her to anyone.

Dr Lim is a safe pair of hands- she saw me through two pregnancies. Both my children were born naturally. She was accommodating of my request to walk around the delivery suite when I was in labour, which I appreciated. At the same time, she was frank enough to tell us when she didn't agree with our idea of a birth plan.
