Best Hawker centre in Singapore

S	Soo Hin Yeoh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually Whampoa Food Center and Whampoa Makan Place are 2 separate blocks but since they look the same and are next to each other, collectively they are known as Whampoa Food Center. With at least 2 Singapore 2021 Michelin Bib Guide stalls located here, you need to take your time to try them out. Most famous stall is the Balestier Road Hoover Rojak with its viscous shrimp sauce laden & crushed peanuts, with Huat Heng Fried Oyster and Hi Leksmi Nasi Lemak another 2 stalls that have queues.

One of the best hawkers I like to visit. 91 is the block where you get most of the morning stalls and you have to be there really early as most stalls can close before noon! Don't know what to order? Just look at the long queues which will guide you to the famous stalls. The usual good ones are the noodle stalls. My favourite? The lor mee and the Whampoa Bean Curd.

S	Suba Siva on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a weekday evening and was quite tough getting a place to sit. Very packed but of course there's a reason, GOOD FOOD! We tried e popular hokkien mee there. I personally loved e ngoh hiang, with the chili matching perfectly. Sugarcane juice was fresh and good too! Need to try out at more stalls and have a taste of everything!
K	Kokthye Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lot great food for breakfast and lunch at Whampoa Hawker Centre. They have 2 sections of Hawker Centre. One section near to Wet market is selling breakfast and all the stalls are closed at 2pm. The other section is mainly for lunch and dinner. Strongly recommended the Braised Duck rice for lunch. Queue starts forming around 10am. For Breakfast, can try the Lor Mee, Wanton Noodles, Malay Food, Prawns Noodles. Expected to Queue at least 30min before you can get your food. A gem place to visit.
S	Summer C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recommending one of the mala stall at Whampoa market. This stall offers 水煮牛肉 at $12 but I requested and swapped it for pork. Very very big portion. the photo only show probably 3/4 of the original portion as we were too excited to try before we took a photo. I added the beancurd thingy / 豆皮 and it was only $1 and they gave a lot! There is black fungus, Korean bean sprouts, cabbages and truckload of pork I also added their 辣子鸡 which is currently on promotion at $7. Not sure if you can tell from the photos, but the portion were really huge. And both dishes were tasty! The 辣子鸡 were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It’s not spicy and the peanuts in it were also crunchy and adds fragrant to this dish. This 2 dishes only $20! Strongly recommend this stall —value for money!

When it is about 10minutes more, they will bring the cutlery and saucers of chilli. Another person will bring side dishes to the table to see if you want any. Rice will be served. Shortly after that, your steam boat will be brought to the table. A generous amount for the price.
