Whiskdom Cookies and Brownies - Alexandra Central - 321 Alexandra Rd

I was very excited to try their brownies as I’ve seen them all over Instagram. They were pretty pricey at $6.50 but I can tell that they used high quality ingredients. The brownies were on the cakey side though, so I was pretty disappointed. It will be a 5/5 if you like cakey brownies

Been wanting to try Whiskdom for a while (the one at Alexandra) since I live close by but haven’t had the chance to. Stumbled across their new outlet today at Havelock II when I was there for an appointment. Wanted to get brownies from the nearby shop but decided to try Whiskdom out instead since I haven’t before and they have matcha/houjicha flavours which I love!! And wow I don’t regret my choice at all. Bought the matcha cookie and the matcha cocoa today and they both superseded my expectations! Didn’t really have high expectations because most speciality cookie places make their cookies TOO sweet. I usually can’t eat a bite without my teeth hurting (I have quite sensitive teeth) or just finding it too “jalat”. But this wasn’t at all! It was definitely sweet to some extent, as cookies should be but it was the right level of sweetness so this was really surprisingly. (Context: I drink 0%-25% sugar level for BBT usually) Eating this cookie doesn’t hurt my teeth at all so it makes me really really happy!! I also love how pronounced the matcha flavour is :) It doesn’t taste artificial at all and I dare say it’s comparable to the matcha desserts I have in Japan. (I don’t usually take a liking to matcha flavoured items in Singapore because I find them too lacklustre/or too intense to a point where it just tastes like antibiotics) but Whiskdom found the right balance! Definitely giving the houjicha cookie a shot the next time I pass by!!! Love your bakes so much!! (Missed out Ben’s cookie before they closed permanently bUT I FOUND cookies that are chewy and BETTER because the sweetness level is perfect) Ps. I ate half of the cookie without baking (& found it nice already) but baked the other half aND WOW it elevated my experience further.

A very hidden cookies & brownies place in Alexandra Central Mall … they are serving chunky gooey cookies and veryyyy oozy brownies! I have been their usual customers (as it’s near my house) and have tried almost every flavour that they have. I especially love the tea flavours (both Matcha & Hojicha) and my fave cookie is Berries and Cream. All flavours are great actually! If you can’t come down to Alexandra Central, they also provide same day island-wide delivery ?

Wow I can only say I been wanting to try this for very long since her home baked days. Glad that they finally opened a shop in a hotel mall which location is considered quite ulu to me and of course the shop is also quite ulu as it is located behind the lift lobby. Don't underestimate this place because it serves one of the best and yummylicious sweet stuff I've ever tried. I arrived at the place and it took me quite a while to find the shop. And I arrived like 20 mins before the shop closed and there wasn't much left for the day. The staff was quite chatty and friendly and tried to understand what I was looking for and told me what flavours were available and her recommendations. She recommended the chocolate ones but I was more interested in the matcha ones so I got a mix of both. Some items were not on the shelf and she went to check it out in the kitchen and was glad there were remaining ones left. Although I only ordered 4 pieces I took a week to finish them because I was worried it will be too fattening for me. I wanted to cut each up and take photos of how generous the filling were so it took me a week to post after buying it. The pastries are really good and am telling myself am going back again for more!

Lovely cookies and brownies in terms of taste and aesthetics. Oozy lava texture. Best taken with a cup of (sugarless) Americano or Earl Grey tea! Makes a perfect gift too with their simple yet presentable paper box packaging! I think they serve coffee now too!

Heat them in the oven for a couple of minutes to enjoy the rich, gooey goodness within these New York-style Levain cookies! Definitely preferred the ?????? ???? ?????? a little bit more! It's chewy with a slight crisp on the surface and packed with the rich earthy tones from the matcha lava core! Loved that it has the right amount of sweetness, making it the perfect dessert for matcha lovers (like BB)!⁣ ⁣ Blondies/Brownies: Totally spoilt for choice with the flavours in the assorted box, and it was love at first bite into the cakey dense and moist texture! Already expected the matcha lava to be good from the Matcha Blondie, but the ??????? ??????? also pleasantly surprised Bb! The hojicha lava has a nice balance of sweetness and distinct toasty flavours. Also preferred the stronger tea flavour in this compared to the matcha counterpart.⁣⁣ .⁣ ? Finally tried the brownies. Got the Salted Dark Chocolate, Gimmie Smore and Speculoos Delight. First I tried the salted dark chocolate without heating it up and I felt that it was too rich. So I decided to heat it up and what greeted me was an amazing delicious lava brownie. Afterwards I heated up the remaining two and enjoyed it with my brother. Overall really good but can be a little too rich after the 2nd brownie. My favourite was the Salted Dark Chocolate.

This stall is located at a secluded corner of level 3. Tried the Matcha Lava and Hojicha Cocoa. All items were rather pricey at $6.50 but the food quality was very high. Both cookies and brownies tasted similar but the cookies were slightly crunchier and the brownies slightly more moist. Best to eat with coffee, and would be perfect if there is a dine-in option.
