Old shop with traditional buns. Can try the hot dog bun and ham bun as they are quite soft when eaten on the day itself. The kaya is nice, but you must eat it soon. Parents and kids might like the butter cake and custard buns.

An old school bakery with pillowy soft buttercream sponge cakes. So soft, you might squish it while picking them up. Pocket friendly price of $1.50 a slice with a selection of toppings. Toasted almonds are my favourite. The pandan slice is $1 and various buns go for $1 or below.

First time I visit this shop, very retro, very old school, the name "Love Confectionery" the decor and setup all 70s 80s style. Dun shy to pick up your own cake, u put them on the tray uncle help you pack in the box like how another shop do their assorted style cakes. Love everything abt this shop. Highly recommended if u like old school cake.

Awesome traditional butter cream sponge cakes with optional toppings like almonds, chocolate, peanuts, sweets, coconut to choose from. Super soft and they are generous with the filing/toppings. One of the best you can find in Singapore IMO to pair with coffee. Custard puff are great and buns are under $1. They have cookies too. Price have been on the rise this few years especially for the sponge cake but such bakery are getting rare in Singapore. Enjoy while they last.

Is really a old school confectionery shop by just look at the wooden display cabinet. During 60's ε€§δΌ—η™Ύθ΄§η§δΊΊζœ‰ι™ε…¬εΈ ( present is 31A Margaret Dr MSCP ) located, there was a favous 金山蛋糕店. I always remember the wooden display with famous Curry Puffs and Cakes. My parents used to order the birthday cakes there. We must always remember to support this SME before it gone one day.

Old school butter goodness . This is that kind of nostalgic shop that serves up memories . Very clean butter cake with topping. The amount of aromatic butter and moist mouth feel sets the base . If you choose the almond topping, you get your crisps on top . Recommended for simplicity of taste .

I love their cakes! The shop is self service so don’t be shy to get the bread and cake from the display cases by yourself. I bought 2 whole cakes (1 with cream - $8, 1 w/o cream - $6). The cream is just right for me, buttery smoothness and not too sweet. The butter cake is the light and airy kind. My family has already ate 1 whole cake in half a day! When I went today (1+ pm on Sunday), the case was mostly empty - no bread in sight. If you’re heading to the hawker for food, it might be a good idea to buy their cakes first before gg for your meals!
