Our 1st time here to try out the vegetarian food. A bit pricey though. The food quality is not bad. Good to visit and ask them for recommendations

There is a reason that this is a Michelin Starred restaurant even if it is a vegetarian restaurant. We ordered the olive fried rice, monkey head mushroom, oat tofu. The seasoning were impeccably right. While the food gives you a burst of flavour for every bites taken, it does not weight down on your taste buds. The great flavour lingers shortly in your mouth while gently fades away. This place will convince non vegetarian that vegetarian foods are very good as well.

Feeling peckish for Vegetarian food, decided to visit Whole Earth at Peck Seah Street to see if they were any good, given that they were awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award 2021. From the onset, the ambiance, service and layout of the restaurant plus the food layout at other tables looked really good. Alas, there was where the good stuff ended and the nightmare of a meal came about. The Olive Brown Rice had little to no flavour to it. The Sweet and Sour Delight had such a tough dough that someone could have lost some teeth. The Enchanted Forrest, with its Monkeyhead Mushrooms, had a weird texture to it that to a first time eater of this type of mushroom definitely did not feel like a Mushroom but more of a scaly-powdery substance. The 2 types of Soup ordered tasted bland. Having had vegetarian food at other places, perhaps such new style vegetarian restaurant is not for everyone, definitely not this party of 4 at least. General Verdict: Poor and weird quality vegetarian food that may not be suitable for all Opening Hours: Daily 11:30am-3pm and 5:30pm-10pm Queue Situation: Weirdly, given the dining experience, this place is always full so a reservation is required if one wishes to partake in a meal here Price: SG$50++ per person Payment Mode: Cash and all Major Credit Cards (Physical and Paywave) Is this worth a try? No Is it worth making a trip just to try it? No Is this worthy of the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award? No Items Ordered: 1) Item: Seaweed Chips and Pickled Papaya Appetisers Description: Refreshing and crispy Appetisers that helped to whet the appetite Verdict: Acceptable, Provided upon sitting Price: SG$2++ each 2) Item: Signature Olive Brown Rice Description: Healthier Option that had little to no flavour with a couple of burnt grains leading to a burnt taste Verdict: Fail, Don't Waste Time Price: SG$16++ 3) Item: Crispy Golden Oats - Deep Fried Tofu tossed with fragrant oats, curry leaves and chili pads Description: The Fried Tofu were generally tasteless and needed the Fried Oats to give it some flavour Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$18++ 4) Item: Garden Medley - Lightly sautΓ©ed asparagus, lotus root, ladies fingers, shiimeji mushroom and celery Description: A little too lightly sautΓ©ed resulting in undercooked ladies fingers Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$22++ 5) Item: Thai Sweet and Sour Delight - A vegetarian version of the usual Sweet and Sour Meat dish Description: The dough used to create the "delight" was so tough, it can take someone's teeth out that a wish was actually made for Canned Gluten Mock Meat to be used instead Verdict: Fail, Don't Waste Time Price: SG$19++ 6) Item: Enchanted Forrest Description: For a first time eater of Monkeyhead Mushroom, the Mushroom did not have the texture of a mushroom but instead was scaly and powdery which was very off putting Verdict: Fail, Don't Waste Time Price: SG$25++ 7) Item: Double Boiled Nourishing Soup Description: The soup was bland and had a weird aftertaste. Too expensive for the small single serving Verdict: Fail, Don't Waste Time Price: SG$15++ 8) Item: Double-Boiled Snow Pear Soup Description: The soup was so bland that it tasted more like water than the sum components of its ingredients. Overly expensive for such a small bowl Verdict: Fail, Don't Waste Time Price: SG$15++ 9) Item: Peach Crystal Dessert - Peach Resin dessert served warm Description: A yummy dessert that was the only good item during the entire meal Verdict: Good, Can Order Price: SG$7++ 10) Item: Zesty Lime Ice Jelly with Sea Coconut and Aloe Vera Description: Refreshing, but a little bit too sour with the lime, otherwise yummy Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$6++ 11) Item: Yuzu Honey Ice Jelly Description: The Honey flavour overpowered the Yuzu flavour which is surprising as it is usually the other way around Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$6++

If you are vegan, make sure u ask them. Some dishes are with eggs and diary. We ordered the yam ring as we are a fan! Really tasty and fresh! Size is also just nice for 2. The crispy golden oats is fried to perfection and the oats fried to perfection with curry leaves and chilli padi. Best with white rice! We also tried the crispy mango tamarind tofu roll. So lovely with the Thai tamarind sauce! We ended up ordering 2 portions! The meesua is fried to perfection! We also had a mala dish but can't remember the name. All the dishes we have ordered were all pleasing to our pallets! You know where to go for your next vegatarian meet up!

Believe it or not, the XO fried rice was the best! Overall the food was pretty decent. Assam curry was off.... HK Noodles was way too salty...

Quite cool to have local flavours with vegan food. Tried teriyaki mushroom, fried beancurd (with great filling) and salt and pepper eggplant. Portion is large too. Was not able to finish 3 dishes with two of us.

Premium to luxury vegetarian Chinese food that tastes delicious. Ask the waiters for recommendations and keep an open mind about the flavours. Price range is $20-$35 per dish which is worth it. Great place for a treat or special celebrations. Limited parking around. Walking distance (55m) from the nearest MRT.
