It is a lovely store with loads of creativity and an awesome place to get children's books. Simply agree with most reviewers here that the shop keeper could do a better job in enabling customers to feel comfortable while in the shop. My husband entered the shop before I did and he could sense from the distance that the staff was staring real hard at me, causing the sense of discomfort, unfortunately. Moreover, I overheard the comment made to another customer that Books Actually is a few doors down, in a rather hostile tone.

Visited this bookstore and bought all their sex ed related books for kids. The staff was helpful but wasn't very warm to me however - not a smile nothing... I love books and there is little one can put me in a bad mood but I probably won't be back.

It's a children's book haven for those who prefers buying from physical bookstore and not on the Internet (like me). There is a wide variety of themed collections and also special series such as Little People Big Dreams. I spent more than an hour browsing through and making selections. Cannot find a particular title? Approach the friendly and helpful store assistants. Today I walked out buying four books worth $78. Worth the time and $$.

Bookstore itself is stylish and cozy, a very good kids bookstore? We took grab to come here all the way to support. The collection is wide for kids but staff seems not welcome kids a lot. Girls read around and treat books well, but staff keep inspecting and We can’t enjoy and hurry to pay and go without hesitation. My 1st ever 1-star and truly a disappointing visit.

Came all the way to Tiong Bahru especially for this bookstore. The variety of books is good, navigation is not so easy and clear. Good place if you need to buy a book as a gift for kids urgently. Staff is quiet unfriendly unfortunately. I prefer their second store in Forum Mall.

I visited this store 7 years ago. 7 years fast forwars today I was there. It's still as cute but man, what coldness and unwelcoming staff not a bit different than 7 years ago. If ure to sort lowest rating, a few sentiments ring the same bell. Today, It was close to 6pm and I was alerted by the staff shop was closing. So I made my way out and saw a cute tote bag and asked "how can i get that?" The answer was curt, and caustic "u gotta buy something. So ure not buying anything today right?" (The main point was me to get out so she can close). I said "no. Thank you". Silence. What's a little "ure welcome and come again!" gonna cost her?

Every time that we go to Woods in the Books, it's an amazing adventure of discovery. This is a great children's book store that isn't overwhelming. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

A homely and inviting bookshop that children and adults who enjoy illustrations would love. Was visiting @pixmadeobjects’ exhibition. (The two books in the image are from the store.) There’s also a selection of books by local illustrators/artists to browse and purchase. The only bad thing is that I always leave the store with a lighter wallet and a heavier bag than when I entered.
